LX New York is on daily at 5pm on NBC4-- we've been tapped as the show's bag experts and will be appearing regularly with bag candy! Watch the segment here.

Snob TV Webisode 7: Michael Kors

user-pic

This has to be the most fun interview I have ever filmed. Michael Kors is the consummate professional and went along with all my silliness! We had so much fun dishing, shopping and later lunching (all caught on tape!) that it was hard to cut it all down to only 8 minutes of video.

A big thank you to Neiman Marcus for allowing us to film during store hours. I have to say, Neiman Marcus and Michael Kors know how to throw a luncheon. Two days before our lunch, an orchid and handwritten note from Michael was delivered to my home, very nice touch! Of course Joan Kors, Michael's mother, was on hand and I believe she is the reason he is so accommodating and nice (I aim to properly train my own son!). I am wearing my favorite Michael Kors dress available at net-a-porter.com.  Or you can check out Michael Kors collection at Neiman Marcus.

Bag Snob on Plum TV!

user-pic
We are taking a break from filming Snob TV-- the last 6 weeks of webisodes have been fun and we're now planning our next batch so please stay tuned for more interviews with your favorite designers! In the meantime, I did this fun little clip for Plum TV in NYC last week. The host, Nick Leighton, and I went bag shopping and we compared the difference between shopping for fake bags and authentic bags... watch for yourself and see which looks like more fun!  And please tell me, do you buy fake bags?

Plum TV is a a television network in eight luxury markets in the United States (for example, Channel 5 in Miami, Channel 16 in Aspen, and Channel 18th in the Hamptons). This handbag piece is also to be broadcast on Fox Business Channel. Check out Plum TV here!

On Tina: YSL Peplum vest and belt.  White shirt by Theory.  Necklace by Fragments (I put the knot there myself).  Marni Platforms in Grey.  Call my YSL SA Giovanni at 972-629-1700 ext 2037 or Email him to order!  A big thank you to Brian Solis of YSL for insisting I buy this vest!  It's my favorite of the season!

Snob TV Webisode 6 - Devi Kroell

user-pic
We've been longtime fans of Devi Kroell bags and to meet her in person is such a delight! We've hung out with her several times and she is always gracious, chic and oh so gorgeous and exotic (not to be biased but her mother is Asian-- Eurasians are so beautiful!). We went to Devi's showroom and got the lowdown on why she is anti "it" bag and all about individual style. Enjoy! See Devi's Fall collection here!

Snob TV Webisode 4 - Orlando Pita

user-pic
Going backstage and watching the models get primped and ready is more fun than the actual show itself sometimes. Watch us backstage with the most expensive hair stylist on earth, Orlando Pita... a mere $850 a haircut! He works his magic with T3 products (Beauty Snob favorites, too!) and gives us the lowdown on how he went from giving haircuts to anyone who'd let him to grooming the top models and A listers of the moment.

Snob TV Webisode 3 - Nina Garcia

user-pic
Congrats to Ruth L, Emily and Maple-- winners of "The One Hundred" books!
UPDATE- Click here to read our readers' questions for Nina and her answers!

ninahundredbook.jpg
We absolutely loved filming with Nina! She was so sweet and nice-- though we'd hoped she'd bitch slap us a bit :) We ran into Nina at the DVF show last Sunday and ran up to her squealing to thank her for putting us in her new book "The One Hundred". We were like two little kids, hugging her and gushing our adoration. Thankfully she tolerated us! Later in the week, I attended Nina's book launch party hosted by Marie Claire at Milk Studios and got a peek at her hubby-- quite the dashing and handsome man! If you have not picked up a copy of Nina's new book- you must do so immediately. I've been checking the list off and of course making new lists of must haves. Buy "The One Hundred" Here!

Nina is wearing Balenciaga, I am in RM by Roland Mouret (I have this dress in different colors, it's become my uniform!) and Kelly is in DVF. Bagsnob.com and Nina Garcia would like to thank Bergdorf Goodman for opening the store at 7am in order for us to film.

Snob TV Webisode 2 - Oscar de la Renta

user-pic

Oscar de la Renta, no need for further introduction-- the master of elegance graced us with an interview and a day we will never forget! We started backstage at 9am to watch the models get made up and dressed up, had a quick bite and hovered around Oscar along with his many design assistants who flitted about with last minute touches for the master's approval. We ended on the runway with Oscar himself for a few words before following him back to his workroom/studio. It was a magical day-- I was so in awe I couldn't stop grinning like a fool!! We'd like to thank CEO Alex Bolen and Retail Director Steven Mathieu for the access to all things Oscar. Now, sit back and enjoy the webisode. I know you will crave a few things when it ends so to make it easier--Order the Goya bag here.  We will be attending Oscar's Spring 2009 show on Wednesday and of course will give you the full report!
