Still looking for that perfect gift for the Bag Snob in your life? Please watch my gift guide on NBC here. It was live on Monday afternoon! NBC's Lx Tv is the "Today" show for the afternoon, watch it on NBC4 at 5 pm daily in your local city! And in case Santa is wondering, I'll take the Derek Lam Elsa bubblegum clutch (now at Derek Lam-- call Wayne 212-966-1616 to order) and the Bottega Veneta crocodile studded tote ;)

The Tote: This is a no brainer, everyone should have a nice selection of totes to choose from for work and for play.
The Travel: A functional bag to travel with is essential when you have kids. Staying organized is key!
The Treasure: This is the special bag that you pull out when you want to feel glamorous, it can be a $20 seashell bag with sentimental value or a 5 figure croc birkin.
The Trend: All women, no matter how classic, want to be stylish. This is the bag you can have fun with each year or each season, depending on your budget and how often you buy bags!
The Clutch: Clutches are no longer for evenings, I love an oversized clutch for day!

This was so much fun to film. LX New York asked me to find the most luxurious and fabulous bags for this segment. The next segment will have frugal options (will be aired in a couple of weeks). LX New York is on daily at 5pm on NBC4-- we've been tapped as the show's bag experts and will be appearing regularly with bag candy! Watch the segment here.
I am wearing the blue Oscar de la Renta dress, love it!!!

Lovely to wake up and read the WWD article about Accessories Firms and Social Media with a mention of our site :) "Firms also are linking up to popular fashion blogs, such as Bagsnob.com and Purseblog.com. These forums often help spread a new handbag trend or have been known to discover talent. Designer Jessie Randall of Loeffler Randall attributed her company's success to the exposure she gained from these sites.
Bagsnob.com is a four-year-old editorial blog founded by Tina Craig and Kelly Cook. It offers content as well as "where to buy" links for the latest styles by Marni, Jimmy Choo and various brands ranging from contemporary to luxury. The blog also offers individual discussion forums for each brand. Bags they mention consistently sell out at Net-a-porter.com."

A fun interview we did with Style Network's fashion website, My Style. Read the full article here!

Palos Verdes-based Kelly Cook is already turning a profit with the website Bag Snob ( www.bagsnob.com) and its offshoots, Couture Snob ( www.couturesnob.com), Tot Snob ( www.totsnob.com) and Beauty Snob ( www.beautysnob.com.)
Launched in 2005 by Cook and Tina Craig (who's based in Dallas), Bag Snob now garners 100,000-plus unique visitors monthly, and nets more than six figures a year via its affiliate programs with e-commerce sites including Net-a-Porter, Saks Fifth Avenue and ELuxury.
It works like this: Cook and Craig blog about a bag, then link to one of their affiliates where shoppers can buy it. The bloggers get a cut of the profits on sales that come from these links to their site. (And their recommendations are like a priest's blessing -- bags they laud routinely sell out on Net-a-Porter.)
"We wrote like we were talking to a girlfriend, and that really resonated with people," Cook said. "We talk about overpriced bags or blatant label whoring. My mom always said shopping would be the end of me, that it would destroy me. She was wrong."

I was interviewed twice last week for articles in the Financial Times and Women's Wear Daily about changes in my shopping habits. Read the Financial Times article here by Tatiana Boncompagni.
And the WWD article here by Holly Haber.
What about you, how have YOUR shopping habits changed?

What a great way to kick off Fashion Week! My phone has been buzzing with text messages and emails all day from friends who are at the tents and saw this feature in the Daily. US Weekly's Sasha Charnin Morrison was the first to alert me with this message-- "You are in today's Daily-- MAJOR". We had no idea this was coming and wish we knew where to send the flowers and chocolates. So to the editors at the Daily-- a huge thanks for the shout out! (jump for complete feature)
Glam interviewed us as we prepare for Fashion Week (it's next week). Check out their Style Setters piece on us. We will also be visiting a lot of bag designer's show rooms so as always, you will be the first to see the new collection here. The Ready To Wear show reviews will be up on Couture Snob. Tina and I both got new mini laptops just for Fashion Week, with those in our bags the reviews will go up even faster than last season! The regular laptops just don't fit in the bags we want to use, so what's a girl to do but buy new computers?
