<p><strong>Miu Miu</strong>, the quirky little sister of Prada, is not suffering the Jan Brady complex. It’s not exclaiming, “Prada, Prada, Prada!” Quite the contrary – Miu Miu is becoming the star of the family.</p>
<p>Especially now that they are releasing a limited-edition line of Fashion Week bags. The hard (and deliberately offbeat) structure is similar to <strong>Prada</strong>’s, though it’s also the same one that semi-shocked us at <a href="http://www.bagsnob.com/2011/10/miu-miu-spring-2012-collection-something-wicked-this-way-comes.html" target="_blank">Miu Miu’s Spring 2012 show</a>. This isn’t the usual casual slouch we see from Miu Miu. The little sister is all grown up.</p>
<p>But don’t think she’s not still flaunting a rebellious side. The hardware is high on flair; contrasting patterns and mixed materials, like glitter and python (appliquéd with a wildly Western influence) and chunky gemstones, set off the top-handle shapes. This is refinement at its most youthful – I have a feeling Prada might be getting jealous.</p>

<p>I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bag. A rainbow of citrus fade is a strong statement for Ferragamo, I know, but it was due time they delve deep into their glamorous past. Here is a total seventies’ vibe bag that is lust-worthy.</p>
<p><strong>Salvatore Ferragamo</strong> calls the shade of this bag “multirosso,” but I call it awesome. This unique sunburst is the perfect bright for the summer. They’ve managed to pay homage to another era without putting their clutch in a vintage costume. With beautiful stitching and subtle touches of silver, it’s cute and slender for evenings. Toss it on as a skinny-strapped shoulder bag or detach the strap for a classic clutch.</p>
<p>This is a bag that will stand out in any decade, something you&#8217;ll be proud to own in 20 years (when it will actually be vintage!). On <a target="_blank" href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&#038;subid=&#038;offerid=187350.1&#038;type=10&#038;tmpid=5128&#038;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mytheresa.com%2Fus_en%2Fcloud-suede-clutch.html">My Theresa</a><img alt="icon" width="1" height="1" src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&#038;bids=187350.1&#038;type=10"> for $1,265.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.bagsnob.com/sgmwp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/marc_marc_jacobs_yellow_gold_multi.jpg"><img src="http://www.bagsnob.com/sgmwp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/marc_marc_jacobs_yellow_gold_multi.jpg" alt="" title="marc_marc_jacobs_yellow_gold_multi" width="333" height="250" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-11324" /></a></p>
<p>For the Frugal Snob: Consider <strong>Marc by Marc Jacob</strong>&#8216;s elongated velvet option. It’s not as bright, but still has a definite 1970&#8242;s feel. At a tiny fraction of the Ferragamo cost, I couldn&#8217;t resist – I bought it on the spot. On <a href="http://www.6pm.com/marc-by-marc-jacobs-airmail-jagz-velvet-long-clutch-yellow-gold-multi" target="_blank">6pm.com</a> for $209.99 (from $278).</p>
<p>Pair with: A shoe that’s nude, retro, and sky-high. <a class ="imageGallery" href="http://www.bagsnob.com/sgmwp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/guiseppe_zanotti_leather_cork_platform_sandals.jpg"><strong>Giuseppe Zanotti</strong>’s</a> leather and cork platforms have it all without putting you in a time warp. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&#038;subid=&#038;offerid=206135.1&#038;type=10&#038;tmpid=6895&#038;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F191438','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&#038;subid=&#038;offerid=205736.1&#038;type=10&#038;tmpid=6888&#038;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F191438');" >Net-a-Porter</a><IMG border=0 width=1 height=1 src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&#038;bids=127413.10000004&#038;type=3&#038;subid=0" > for $695.</p>

We’re after the patterns with a vivacious, cheeky twist. From florals to exotics to cameo-inspired faces, we&#8217;ve got all your prints covered. Which one charms your heart?</p>
<p><strong>1) Stella McCartney Hawaiian-Print Canvas Shopper:</strong> Once cheesy, the souvenir-style Hawaiian print is executed in sophisticated fashion, a feat only achievable by Stella. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F180333','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F180333');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $635.</p>
<p><strong>2) Balenciaga Paper Printed Leather Tote Bag:</strong> Flowers gone neutral and colorless – but still pretty – show you can hop on the printed trend without going all out. At <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=163081.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=3749&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brownsfashion.com%2FProduct%2FWomen%2FWomen%2FAccessories%2FBags%2FPaper_printed_leather_tote_bag%2FProduct.aspx%3Fp%3D3457479%2526pc%3D1949748%2526cl%3D4" target="_blank">Browns Fashion</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=163081.1&amp;type=10" alt="icon" width="1" height="1" /> for $1,660.40 (£1,045).</p>
<p><strong>3) Karl Large Printed Canvas Tote:</strong> A casual, crumply tote with a twist. Karl’s paint-splattered profile is so insanely fabulous – he would have it no other way. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F189937','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F189937');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $135.</p>
<p><strong>4) Reed Krakoff Leather-Trimmed Python-Print Canvas Tote:</strong> This painterly interpretation of python is refreshing and artsy. Get your daily python fix without destroying your precious genuine snakeskin. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F178523','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F178523');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $540.</p>
<p><strong>5) Yves Saint Laurent Roady Printed Canvas Hobo Bag:</strong> YSL is gung ho about nautical theme this season. The almost-unknotted stripes of this brightly colored tote take you on vacation and back. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F181752','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F181752');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $1,495.</p>

<p>Gorgeous shimmering metallic gold says, “I love you” just as well as any shade of red. When it’s by <strong>Chanel</strong>, you know it’s true love! Their Valentine’s Day 2012 collection is purely iconic awash in pure, dreamy shades of metal and blush.</p>
<p>Petite pieces – ideal for gift-giving and receiving – like textural, python-effect taupe pochettes; an iridescent gold quilted clutch that crumples in the fashion of a chic lunch bag; a pearly cosmetic case; floral-stitched key holder; and iPad case are all more practical and neutral than many of Chanel’s recent launches. These are wearable clutches and cases too classic to grow tired and so pale and pretty they will float right into spring. Inquire at <a href="http://valentine2012.chanel.com/en_US" target="_blank">Chanel</a>.</p>
<p>Pair with: Amp up your pochette with ornate jewels from the same collection! Pearlized gold, clusters of pearls and the quintessential chain all come together in definitive Chanel fashion: opulence that’s somehow light as air and heavy on <em>joie de vivre</em>.</p>

<p>Oh, I do love my ostrich. There’s something about that grainy, spotty, bumpy yet luxurious texture that really gets me going. When skin already has so much going on, <strong>Yves Saint Laurent</strong> knows you have to keep the shape simple.</p>
<p>They smartly opted for just a hint of pull-it-all-together detail: a strap that goes from the bottom up, for a twist on a classic style. Don’t worry – the strap is stitched in, so it won’t be flopping around haphazardly. It gains even more polish with a structured top-handle, standing at attention with strong metal hardware at the base.</p>
<p>I’m not usually one to flip for a brown bag, but you cannot deny the timelessness of this über-ladylike treasure. On sale, it’s a handbag to last a lifetime at a price that won’t take you that long to pay it off. <p>It looks like Miss Wu is growing younger with age – in a good way! With miniature styles and spunky details, <strong>Jason Wu</strong> is feeling less mature and more on-trend for Pre-Fall 2012. There’s a strong sense of cuteness at play. Even with classically streamlined foundations, no bag is taken too seriously – scalloped details, plump hanging tabs, and contrasting hues of matter leather against patent make sure we know that.<br />
The Jourdan cross-body chain-strap wallet is clean with a fair amount of intrigue, and the petite scale is just the size I’m craving these days. Karlie, a streamlined clutch, gets a hint of arts-and-craftiness with rickrack-style trimming; Jason’s appliqués are classy, not folksy. The Miss Wu looks cuter than ever in this mini version – with symmetrical hardware, I could swear her sweet owl face is smiling at me! I’m glad Jason is finding his groove with bags. I can’t help but wonder which side of his Miss Wu alter-ego he will introduce us to next. Check out the goods at <a href="http://www.jasonwustudio.com/" target="_blank"><strong>JasonWuStudio.com</strong></a></p>

<p>This year marks<strong> Christian Louboutin’s</strong> twentieth anniversary – cheers to two decades of red soles and big glamour! The brand is celebrating with the Capsule Collection, just in time for Spring: 20 quintessential shoe styles, along with six limited-edition bags, all based on Louboutin’s favorite themes and inspirations: art, architecture, cabaret life, and wild adventures. He has also always been inspired by Parisian dancers, likening them to birds of paradise.</p>
<p>This unusual and whimsical bag is just that: part-showgirl, part exotic animal – and I’m obsessed with it! Hand-painted python and hand-dyed goose and hen feathers come together for an uplifting concoction that won’t be tamed. Sure, the rainbow-flurry of feathers is a tad on the flamboyant side, but sometimes you just want to be the center of attention. Bursting out over your shoulder like a fantastical wing, the Artemis Plumes bag is just the thing to get you there.</p>
<p>Available Feb 13th at <a href="http://us.christianlouboutin.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Christian Louboutin</strong></a> for $8,995. Check out the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/christianlouboutin?sk=app_264470243624809" target="_blank"> Louboutin Facebook page</a> for more details! </p>

<p>It’s a case of too much of a good thing. We love color, but put in the wrong hands (even they have the best of intentions), a good bag easily goes bad when the wrong decisions are made when it comes to color and fabrication. Here, a bunch of bags that are fighting with themselves – with a tragic misuse of skin, weave, tassels, and color combination, these bags show that sometimes less is truly more.</p>
<p><strong>1) Dolce &amp; Gabbana Mini Miss Sicily Top-Handle:</strong> I think the Dolce design team is overdue for an eye exam, unless tacky is their new MO. There’s no other explanation for this absurd combination of hot pink, houndstooth, and green python. On <a href="http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-2372877-10704349?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.luisaviaroma.com%2Fproductid%2Fitemcode%2F55I-0CE007&amp;cjsku=55I-0CE007" target="_top">Luisa Via Roma</a><img src="http://www.lduhtrp.net/image-2372877-10704349" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $1,275.</p>
<p><strong>2) Burberry Prorsum Raffia Woven Christie Shoulder Bag:</strong> Like the queasy feeling this otherwise acceptable shoulder bag gives my stomach, the colors are off. Muddled and misconceived, the combo is reminiscent of barf. On <a href="http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-2372877-10704349?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.luisaviaroma.com%2Fproductid%2Fitemcode%2F55I-RLJ004&amp;cjsku=55I-RLJ004" target="_top">Luisa Via Roma</a><img src="http://www.ftjcfx.com/image-2372877-10704349" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $1,195.</p>
<p><strong>3) Lanvin Amalia Patchwork Snakeskin Shopper:</strong> This botched patchwork job is truly shameful. Lanvin has taken the classic Amelia and made a wasteful display of snakeskin out of what should be a simple tote. At <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=163081.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=3749&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.brownsfashion.com%2FProduct%2FWomen%2FWomen%2FAccessories%2FBags%2FAmalia_patchwork_snakeskin_shopper%2FProduct.aspx%3Fp%3D3482187%2526pc%3D1949748%2526cl%3D4" target="_blank">Browns Fashion</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=163081.1&amp;type=10" alt="icon" width="1" height="1" /> for $3,047.50 (£1,935).</p>
<p><strong>4) Jimmy Choo Laura Elaphe-Trimmed Woven Cord Shoulder Bag:</strong> Those tassels are probably more fitting to hold back 20-feet, floor-length curtains. Instead they hang from a dainty bag, woven in overly-done, too-festive, multicolor cord. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F177311','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F177311');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $2,295.</p>
<p><strong>5) Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity Python and Leather Shoulder Bag:</strong> Charity-worthy, yes. Sweet? Not so much. This Loubi is another snakeskin disaster. Please save the python for tasteful uses; the bright aqua trim further cheapens the look. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F178076','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F178076');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $2,495.</p>

<p>Tidbit about me: I&#8217;m a china collector. I actually collect it for friends; Kelly has a nice set from Tiffany&#8217;s I sent her every birthday and Christmas piece by piece (when she started receiving them, she asked, &#8220;What are you, my grandmother?&#8221; lol). I love a good China pattern! But never thought I&#8217;d love it on a bag. Until I saw this limited-edition box clutch from Kotur: Fiona hit the mark perfectly!</p>
<p>It resembles precious porcelain in a way that’s not kitschy or overboard. The vintage brocade fabric, in such a classic color combination, is sweet but not too dainty. And it’s the perfect fit for a bold adornment. The bright-red silken tassel makes a strong statement, delightfully throwing off the scale of this itty-bitty minaudiere.<br />
What makes it a true blue valentine? Not only does it have a semi-precious stone clasp and a crystal ball chain, it’s got a saucy surprise: a pair of “hot lips.” That’s the kiss-off for the latest addition to my China collection. At <a href="http://www.koturltd.com/productdetail.php?catid=53&#038;itemid=360&#038;blk=cHJvZHVjdC5waHA/Y2F0YWlkPTUz" target="_blank">Kotur</a> for $450.</p>
<p>Pair with: Achieve the feel of lush romance with <a class ="imageGallery" href="http://www.bagsnob.com/sgmwp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/valentino_velvet_ankle_wrap_strap.jpg"><strong>Valentino</strong>’s</a> scarlet sandal in plush velvet, ideal for a winter’s special date night. <p>Sheer delight! I’m in love with this minty-fresh color – it’s so uplifting to my eyes. Shimmering metallic, in a happy pale turquoise-y hue, set against a suede panel is perfection. The pop of metal as the closure completes the cocktail of texture, and the soft gold tone grounds the light hues for ultimate sophistication.</p>
<p>This isn’t the first time <strong>Diego Dolcini</strong> has one me over with his pleasing treatment of color and (<a href="http://www.bagsnob.com/2011/06/diego_dolcini_suede_and_silk_s.html" target="_blank">his suede and silk bag</a> also stole my heart). Nor is it the first time his changed my feeling about chain-straps; I don’t normally like them, but the cool shock of silver makes perfect sense here. And the price is fantastic for the top-notch quality. Diego Dolcini is a snob – I met him so I know! On <a target="_blank" href="http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-2372877-10704349?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.luisaviaroma.com%2Fproductid%2Fitemcode%2F55I-AKF003&#038;cjsku=55I-AKF003" target="_top">Luisa Via Roma</a><img src="http://www.awltovhc.com/image-2372877-10704349" width="1" height="1" border="0"/> for $878.</p>
<p>Pair with: Make your shake-up of silver and gold a double with <a class ="imageGallery" href="http://www.bagsnob.com/sgmwp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/YSL_tribute_two_tone_metallic_sandal.jpg"><strong>Yves Saint Laurent</strong>’s</a> quintessential Tribute sandal, this time in two tones of metallic and with a more moderate heel. <p>The elusive perfect shoulder-to-crossbody bag is something to cherish. One that is cute and divinely exotic comes around only once in a blue moon. Adriana Castro has just made a little magic happen.</p>
<p>Although, surprisingly, my “blue moon” bag will not be blue. I can&#8217;t decide between the natural python – versatile and timeless (worn expertly with coordinating sandals and a palette of neutrals and pastels by Shakira) – or red-hot crocodile that will light up even the cloudiest of summer days. You really can’t go wrong here. This bag is so good, I’m getting greedy and want both!</p>
<p>Her carriel has it all: the adjustable strap transitions your style from shoulder to crossbody. The adorable rounded shape is adorned with an easy tab closure. And it’s a mini that isn’t so mini after all – this is the perfect-size bag for essentials. Lightweight and compact, I may not give it up for another bag for months. And the prices! Too good to be true – whether you go croc or python, for an exotic this is a steal. In <a href="https://adrianacastroonline.com/shop.php?id_product=209&amp;cat_in=52&amp;category_in=Handbags" target="_blank">python</a>, $985, and <a href="https://adrianacastroonline.com/shop.php?id_product=225&amp;cat_in=52&amp;category_in=Handbags" target="_blank">crocodile</a>, $1,390, at Adriana Castro.</p>
<p>Pair with: Mimic the curved shape of the satchel with <a class="imageGallery" href="http://www.bagsnob.com/sgmwp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/philip_crangi_shield_gold_blackened_steel_necklace.jpg"><strong>Philip Crangi</strong>’s</a> delicate Shield necklace. His blackened steel and 14-karat gold pendant has a charming padlock effect. <p>Who says a deluxe exotic has to be all fancy-schmancy? That’s a misconception that designers are out to banish this season. Python and crocodile skins have been whipped into shape, most literally speaking. Some of my new favorite exotic bags are sporty, with athletic and casual touches – like stripes, canvas, slick lines, and blocks of color – that turn luxury skin on its flexible head.</p>
<p><strong>1) Lanvin Miss Sartorial Metallic Python Clutch:</strong> Addictive metallic skin gets revved up by a lightly athletic take on racing stripes. Va-va-vroom! On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F181059','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F181059');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $2,190.</p>
<p><strong>2) Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium Canvas Printed Python Satchel:</strong> The tried and true PS1 is nearly unrecognizable in faded striped canvas. Chestnut python trim glams it up, but this bag is a scamp at heart. At <a href="http://gan.doubleclick.net/gan_click?lid=41000000030034435&amp;pid=00505014725289&amp;adurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.barneys.com%2FProenza%2520Schouler%2520PS1%2520Medium%2520Canvas%2520Printed%2520Python%2520-%2520Striped%2520Canvas%2F00505014725289%2Cdefault%2Cpd.html&amp;usg=AFHzDLtu6dqb9tKNGwX3WDg1KBq4rkrfJQ&amp;pubid=21000000000228114" target="_blank">Barneys New York</a> for $1,825.</p>
<p><strong>3) Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Messenger Bag:</strong> This bag didn’t leave Kelly’s side all summer and for good reason: this croc is made to move. Now in textural taupe and gold, it’s the lushest take yet on the speedy messenger style. At <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=169350.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=5458&amp;RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.bergdorfgoodman.com%252Fstore%252Fcatalog%252Fprod.jhtml%253FitemId%253Dprod72940006%2526eItemId%253Dprod72940006%2526cmCat%253Dsearch%2526searchType%253DMAIN%2526parentId%253D%2526icid%253D%2526rte%253D%25252Fsearch.jhtml%25253FN%25253D0%252526Ntt%25253Dcrocodile%25252Bbag%252526_requestid%25253D6393" target="_blank">Bergdorf Goodman</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=169350.1&amp;type=10" alt="icon" width="1" height="1" /> for $2,400.</p>
<p><strong>4) Diane von Furstenberg Sporty Drew Embossed Python Bucket Tote:</strong> Embossed leather still does the job of an exotic, especially when you’re considering a toss-around day tote. The hot-pink rolled handles introduce athletic edge. On <a href="http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-2372877-10451141?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.shopbop.com%2Fsporty-drew-embossed-python-bucket%2Fvp%2Fv%3D1%2F845524441929160.htm%3FfolderID%3D2534374302023737%26extid%3Daffprg-%25zp-DIAVF4060212158%26colorId%3D12158&amp;cjsku=DIAVF4060212158" target="_top">ShopBop</a><img src="http://www.tqlkg.com/image-2372877-10451141" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $895.</p>
<p><strong>5) Marc Jacobs Python Khaki Tote:</strong> Just a splash of flash makes this keenly colorblocked tote a sport-influenced winner. Marc Jacobs is back with stylish agility. At <a href="http://gan.doubleclick.net/gan_click?lid=41000000030034435&amp;pid=00505014851278&amp;adurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.barneys.com%2FMarc%2520Jacobs%2520Python%2520Khaki%2520Tote%2520-%2520Combo%2520Blue%2F00505014851278%2Cdefault%2Cpd.html&amp;usg=AFHzDLsdRyYDyGSgGkt7H-wMCNyrMeFG5g&amp;pubid=21000000000228114" target="_blank">Barneys New York</a> for $3,795.</p>

<p>Cobalt blue has been used for centuries on Chinese porcelain, but only recently have we seen it appear on some of our favorite bags. Not to mention, on style snobs in every form, from blazers to leather pants. What’s not to like about this brilliant hue? Nothing. It’s so bold it actually borders on a neutral, it makes an impact without being overtly feminine (or masculine, for that matter), and it packs a major punch. Here, the coolest cobalt numbers of the moment:</p>
<p><strong>1) Reed Krakoff Atlantique Tote:</strong> Reed’s insanely vivid take, a blending of python and crocodile, and metallic, for a tote with futuristic edge. <p><strong>2) Jimmy Choo Candy Acrylic Clutch:</strong> I want candy! Jimmy Choo’s flirty little clutch is a no-brainer party topper – wear it with a colorful cocktail dress and make them stare. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F177326','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F177326');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $550.</p>
<p><strong>3) Maison du Posh Bite Me Medium Suede Hobo:</strong> I just fell hard for their <a href="http://www.bagsnob.com/2012/01/maison-du-posh-bite-me-ostrich-and-swarovski-clutch-jaw-dropping-appeal.html" target="_blank">“Bite Me” clutch</a>. Now it’s in everyday hobo form…in rich cobalt?! The jagged little jaws at the corners put this over the edge of cool. On <a href="http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-2372877-10704349?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.luisaviaroma.com%2Fproductid%2Fitemcode%2F55I-AKA001&amp;cjsku=55I-AKA001" target="_top">Luisa Via Roma</a><img src="http://www.ftjcfx.com/image-2372877-10704349" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $940.</p>
<p><strong>4) Milly Mina Ostrich-Effect Leather Satchel:</strong> A softer take on the shade, for those who don’t want to go all out. Milly’s frugal find is a classic style that will inject a measured dose of color into your look. On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F190193','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F190193');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> $495.</p>
<p><strong>5) Emilio Pucci Marquise Nappa Solid Shoulder Bag:</strong> Electric blue doesn’t get better than this. The slinky, linked chain strap is unabashed glamour; the frame of ringed piercings is hardcore with a delicate touch. <p>I love surprises! Who would have thought this pumped-up Spring collection is by <strong><a href="http://www.port1961.com" target="_blank">Ports 1961</a></strong>? I’ve come to expect strictly natural elements from their designs (<a href="http://www.bagsnob.com/2007/09/ports_1961_wooden_clutch.html" target="_blank">like their wood clutch</a>) – not peachy-keen fluorescence that turns up the heat.</p>
<p>I’m glad they took the risk. The on-trend juxtaposition of red and orange does it for me. This mix-up of such similar colors is like a refreshing papaya smoothie, especially welcomed in the warm weather, and structured design sets it off nicely. The top-handled accordion bag will add zest to your work wardrobe ($1,650), while the itty-bitty box clutch is adorable ($350). Take the matching flatform sandal while you’re at it ($389), and shake up the old-fashioned concept of bag-shoe coordination!</p>

<p>You already know that <strong>Alexander McQueen</strong> stands for beauty that can’t be tamed. This satchel takes their savage style to new levels – it’s so very tribal and aggressive. From the wild ocelot-print (as in the adorable dwarf leopard) calf-hair to the in-your-face buckles to the hard-as-nails hardware, this isn’t for the faint of heart. The spikes topping it off even look like a nose ring!</p>
<p>Despite all the details adorning this shoulder bag, the closure is actually just a simple flap with magnets. The bountiful buckles and handle hanging upside-down are purely decorative. The result: a look that&#8217;s incongruous and slightly unsettling. Which is why McQueen-loving wildcats will be wild over it. It’s a bag that demands attention and on the right girl, will be incredibly chic and obsessively cool. <p>Glance to the ranch for inspiration this season! The equestrian look is one that’s close to my heart – and my home. I live in horse country; the names of the streets in my neighborhood are Chuck Wagon, Buggy Whip, Saddleback, Flying Mane, Pinto…you get the idea.</p>
<p>Not that I dress in Ralph Lauren all the time, but suffice to say, I’m appreciative of the trend whenever it comes back around. Especially when it’s not too literal. These aren’t bags you would actually go riding with. Designers have appropriated the idea, so you can take them to the streets. And, of course, you must have the <strong>Hermès Paddock Selle</strong> saddle charm to top off the look (at <a href="http://usa.hermes.com/leather/bags-and-luggage/handbag-accessories/paddock-saddle/paddock-selle-charm-23477.html" target="_blank">Hermès</a> for $620)</p>
<p><strong>1) Ralph Lauren Collection Mini Suede Shoulder Bag:</strong> Naturally, it starts with the man who founded the trend. Lime-green throws this saddle bag right off its pony – in the best way possible.<br />
On <a href="javascript:testNapCountry('http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=206135.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6895&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F179486','http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=205736.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=6888&amp;RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.net-a-porter.com%2Fproduct%2F179486');">Net-a-Porter</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;bids=127413.10000004&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0" alt="" width="1" height="1" border="0" /> for $795.</p>
<p><strong>2) Chloé Large Marcie Hobo: </strong>When is the last time a giant horseshoe looked this chic? Probably never. Chloé was smart enough to realize the curved shape suits a hobo perfectly.<br />
At <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=169350.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=5458&amp;RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.bergdorfgoodman.com%252Fstore%252Fcatalog%252Fprod.jhtml%253FitemId%253Dprod70710135%2526eItemId%253Dprod70710135%2526cmCat%253Dsearch%2526searchType%253DMAIN%2526parentId%253D%2526icid%253D%2526rte%253D%2525252Fsearch.jhtml%2525253FNo%2525253D20%25252526Ntt%2525253Dchloe%25252526_requestid%2525253D5713%25252526N%2525253D4294967071" target="_blank">Bergdorf Goodman</a> for $1,795.</p>
<p><strong>3) Gucci Stirrup Medium Top-Handle Bag:</strong> Gucci is well-versed when it comes to injecting glamour into the horse-bit. Instead, this sleek bag toys with the idea of the stirrup, making a strap the clean focal point.<br />
At <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=9RQByRmBmGU&amp;subid=&amp;offerid=169350.1&amp;type=10&amp;tmpid=5458&amp;RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.bergdorfgoodman.com%252Fstore%252Fcatalog%252Fprod.jhtml%253FitemId%253Dprod69430057%2526parentId%253Dcat207302%2526masterId%253Dcat260104%2526index%253D24%2526cmCat%253Dcat000000cat257221cat260104cat207302%2526isEditorial%253Dfalse" target="_blank">Bergdorf Goodman</a> for $2,390.</p>
<p><strong>4) Vanessa Bruno Shoulder Bag:</strong> Woven detailing takes this pebbled-leather bag down into Santa Fe, for a rustic vibe that will work famously with chunky silver jewelry.<br />

<p><strong>5) Proenza Schouler Evening Clutch: </strong>Giddy up into the evening with this triangular clutch, a sophisticated take on earthy brown for the cool night rider.<br />

<p>In honor of the second month of the year, we are so excited to give not one, but two fabulous ostrich messenger bags to TWO winners! <strong>Meant to B</strong> is an obsession-worthy line offering gorgeous bags in every shade of ostrich-skin under the sun. A big thank you to designer and founder Bernice Angelique Oehl for generously offering up two of her luscious bags! Growing up in South Africa, she garnered a deep appreciation for ostrich – where her designs are handcrafted by artisans. And now two snobs have the chance to make Meant to B their own!<br />

<p>I cannot get enough of yellow bags, especially when they’re extroverted in neon-citrus hues! I was torn between a few different ones, but now that <strong>Proenza Schouler</strong> has unleashed this baby on me, I know it&#8217;s <em>THE</em> one!</p>
<p>I’ve used the hell out of my black PS11 over the last two years and was just thinking I need a bright colored one for summer. Looks like Jack and Lazaro read my mind (it’s not the first time). At 9.5&#8243; wide, the PS11 is the most perfect size of all the mini, shoulder-style bags. Plus, it has both front and back exterior pockets to easily access your cell phone and keys.</p>
<p>Now that it’s in this fusion of lemon and lime, mustard and mint? It’s almost too good to be true. This subtle color-blocking will not be ridiculous once the trend passes. Proenza’s use of softly varying shades of citron, instead of loudly clashing primary or neon colors, will ensure it looks juicy-fresh each season. At <a href="http://www.proenzaschouler.com/shop/cross-body/ps11-mini-classic.html?color=Colorblock%20Citron" target="_blank">Proenza Schouler</a> for $1,675.</p>
<p>Pair with: Anyone in the mood for a little Citron and soda? Me too! I’ll be sporting this with<br />
<a class="imageGallery" href="http://www.bagsnob.com/sgmwp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/marc_jacobs_transparent_pump.jpg"><strong>Marc Jacob</strong>’s</a> transparent pump, in clear PVC with an icy Lucite heel. On <a href="http://www.lagarconne.com/store/item.htm?itemid=14099&amp;sid=8" target="_blank">La Garçonne</a> for $595.</p>
