Salma Hayek has been seen sporting Gucci's New Jackie Large Hobo ($3,100) on a number of occasions with her little one in hand. Clearly it's a nice and roomy bag-- that said from owning a number of slouchy Gucci bags including the Large Hosebit Hobo which has a very similar shape, it's impossible to find anything in these bags because everything falls all the way to the center bottom! The look of the bag with its bamboo-detailed tassels and golden hardware is pure Gucci (but is that a good thing?). I'm not liking the outer stitching which gives the bag an almost western cowboy feel, and why in the world does it have an extra strap!? Also the color is very hard to pull-off and needs to be carefully matched -- doesn't it look completely off with Hayek's outfit?

What do you think of the New Jackie Hobo? Snob or Slob?

There's no question that when it comes to shoes and jewelry Chanel's Paris/Moscou collection was one of the house's best as of late. Their bags however were a mixed bag. There were some truely exquisite pieces (particularly those that updated the 2.55 Chanel classic, the large soft lambskim tote bag with pyramid quilted effect, and the Pouch in Puffy Quilted Lambskin Interlaced Chain Bag), then there were some question marks like the Matriochka (Russian Doll) Enamel Bracelet Bag Lily Allen is sporting above. I'm torn about this bag. On one hand it screams Judith Leiber -- whose appeal I've never understood -- but on the other it's kind of fun in a cutesy-Hello Kitty kind of a way. It's obviously completely unpractical...I don't even think I could fit my Blackberry in it (hence Allen seems to be carrying hers in her hand!) and it surely does not justify the four figure price tag. Given its size, shape, and material I think this bag would make much more sense in the Sanrio aisle at FAO Schwartz than in a Chanel boutique. I mean, seriously, how cute would this be for a little girl's first purse!?

Love, love, love the Treesje Avalon Bag Molly Sims is carrying! There are a number of versions of this handbag including smaller ones that are up for grabs on Endless, but hurry up because there are very few left!: Treesje Avalon Mini Satchel ($327. 25), and the Treesje Avalon Satchel ($595). The price point of the Avalons are also spot-on unlike a number of other Treesje bags celebs seem to be fond of which look like they retail for about 10% of what they actually do. I love the originality and practicality of the shape of the lambskin satchel which has zip and slip pockets, a attached key fob inside, and a detachable shoulder strap outside. That said while the black and white are fab, there are some seriously horrendous metallic colors that this bag is offered in (purple metallic patent I'm looking at you!)

Are you liking the Treesje Avalon as much as I am?

Woah, who knew yellow and python could look like a chintz pillow? And who'd think it'd be okay to stick cheap nylon shoulder straps on a $4,200 bag!?!? I guess that would be none other than Marc Jacobs. I generally like Katherine Heigl's style but a shiny blue cocktail dress is not the first thing I'd think of wearing the bag with. Was it the only bag she traveled with? It's just so blindingly bright and... spotty. I think my real problem with it is not the color or pattern though, it's that it looks really cheap yet is outrageously priced. Nylon? Really? I'm perplexed. We loved the Granville from Dior when it first hit the stores and it appears Mrs. Kutcher does, too (I knew she was a bag snob!). She toted the fabulous bag while visiting the set of The Beautiful Life (hubby is producing). I think I like it even better in black! Dior Granville Bag is $2,350 here. (jump for more photos!)

Audrina has been photographed in the Alexander McQueen Squeeze IT Clutch ($819), on a number of occasions and every time I saw it I thought that the bag looked interesting in a sort of Valentino-wannabe way. When I saw this bag full-on however (and not partially covered by Audrina's arm), I was somewhat taken aback by the patent shine and the bag's exceedingly slim size (dimensions: 12 1/4" wide across bottom, 12 1/4" wide across center, 12 1/4" wide across top x 1 1/2" deep x 8 1/2" high). This particular model (left) looks like it was an unfortunate paint-victim. On the bright side the bag is easy to grip and because it's slim I imagine that it's very comfortable to carry around.
