Anna Lynn McCord in 2enlight10 Aspen

Anna Lynn McCord rocked a 2enlight10 Aspen Clutch at a Macy's event recently. The line offers-up a handful of simple clutches in a variety of colors and they all retail for $225. I'm not particularly in awe of the colors McCord picked, but the clutch she's wearing comes in neon as well which I think would be fun for going out or spicing-up a conservative, monochromatic outfit. I have to say though -- and this is not because I'm a New Yorker and therefore bias -- but I love the 2enlight New York clutch! Yes it's a little kitschy, but I'm kind of dying to get it just for fun so I can hail a cab with it!

Miley Cyrus in Fendi Borsa Forever Messenger: Snob or Slob?

miley c.jpgI don't totally blame Miley Cyrus for all of her poor fashion choices. She's only a teen after-all and who knows how much say she even gets in what she wears. On the left Cyrus is pictured wearing the Fendi Borsa Forever Messenger bag which I think is completely hideous both in terms of shape and design (if you can even say there was designing involved in the conception of this bag). That said when I think back to being Miley's age, while I do remember being obsessed with Moschino and D&G (I had this hideous bag from them that at the time I LOVED -- it was plastic, pink, and had sheep stamped all over it!), I also wore Kate Spade bags and Prada nylon ones all the time (in other words bags that don't offer much when it comes to design, but are basically just a status symbol to show-off to classmates). I can't imagine myself wearing anything with a logo or label so blatantly obvious these days, but thankfully I've grown into a more secure person than I was back in High School! So my vote is Slob on this messenger, but an understanding Slob!

Victoria Beckham in Quentin Mackay Persia Two Handle Bag

The only thing I like more than Victoria Beckham's bag in this photo are her Loubies! I'm making a mental note as I write to add some Loubie booties to my Hanukah wish list! As for the bag, Beckham took a break from her usual Hermes in favor of the Quentin Mackay Persia Two Handle Bag (£1695). I like this bag a lot, but I can imagine that many may find the detailing creepy. There is a Cartier-esque quality to the claw hardware, but I think that the way it's done is so delicate that from afar you don't even notice that there are long claws. The bag's lining is red suede (wonder if VB purposefully wore her red-soled booties in light of that!?), and there are two interior pockets and one interior zip pocket. The piece was obviously very intricately constructed and is certainly a bag that will last for years.

Madonna in Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily: Snob or Slob?

Above Madonna is pictured sporting Dolce & Gabbana's S/S 2010 Miss Sicily bag. The Sicily has been very popular with stars recently with everyone from Eva Mendes to Peaches Geldof sporting the F/W 2009 version pictured on the right. The current version of the Miss Sicily retails for $1,895. It's a bit too conservative for my taste and I'm not a fan of the shine or the logo plaque (though without the plaque the bag would be a total snooze). I do like the hardware by the handle/top of the bag and the handle itself is well-made. Over-all though I'm not quite understanding why the Miss Sicily has become so popular with celebs.

Jimmy Choo for H&M Bags

I went to the VIP Jimmy Choo for H&M shopping event this past Friday -- the day before the line officially launched in stores. It was super-fun (I got to meet Christian Siriano! He's so friendly though I felt like a giant standing next to him!), but as I said over on Couture Snob where I wrote about the line's clothing pieces, it was pretty chaotic though the H&M staff was super friendly and helpful. I can't imagine what it must have been like on the non-press event launch, especially given that the collection made its debut on a Saturday. People were literally spending thousands of dollars (which at H&M means you're buying a looot), and snapping-up everything in sight. I bought the pink clutch that Paris Hilton is carrying in the photo above ($59.95). It's cute in a very Barbie-esque way. The only downer is that it's a bit small (it does though, for those that are wondering, have room for a Blackberry). Overall while the quality of the handbags is not the best, for the price-points you can't really complain given that they're spot-on style-wise (especially the zebra clutch! I would have so gotten it if I didn't have something similar from Dolce & Gabbana already).

What do you think about the Jimmy Choo for H&M line? Did you shop the collection on Saturday?

Megan Fox in Linea Pelle Lola Large Tote

Oy! I'm totally not feeling the Linea Pelle Lola Large Tote ($595), that Megan Fox has been photographed in. Sure there's nothing outright awful about it, but the hardware looks so cheap and it's just so blatantly unimaginative. Why spend $595 on bag that has barely a hint of design to it?

Maia N on Gossip Girl

One of my favorite exotic designers makes it on Gossip Girl and not just one bag but the entire collection! Maybe Eric Daman, Gossip Girl's wardrobe stylist, reads Bag Snob ;-) But seriously, Eric, if you do, please let us know!! Blake Lively is seen with my all time favorite from Maia N, the caramel ostrich bowler ($5000) - timeless and elegant but it's slouchy so when worn in and beat up, it becomes quite bohemian. Jessica Szohr has the Sam python clutch in violet with agate stone detail ($1350). She is seen with the larger size, which I prefer for day to night use, but it also comes in a smaller size. Maia N is available at Takashimaya and Henri Bendel. You can also order directly by emailing Joanna.

Kate Bosworth in Tod's Girelli Clutch

I don't think I could name more than two movies that Kate Bosworth has been in, but style-wise she's one of my favorite actresses. Above she's pictured in a classic Tod's Girelli Clutch ($875). You can't tell from the image above, but it comes with a removable chain. It's a black satin bag with lizard tejus and double polished silver metal knobs. I love that the shape is original, but yet there's something so classic about this clutch. Tod's made the Girelli in a variety of materials and this one is on the pricier side, with fabric ones going for about $200 less -- still though what a great price!

Are you adventurous when it comes to your clutch bags' shape or do you go more traditional?

Jayde Nicole in Louis Vuitton Galliera PM: Snob or Slob?

I'm a total reality TV buff, but even I don't watch The Hills anymore (though I'm still into The City!). That said I'm fascinated by the odd love match that is Brody Jenner and Jayde Nicole. It's a pretty safe bet to say that Jayde has the worst style on the show and the photo above is a perfect illustration of that. She's pictured in the Louis Vuitton Galliera PM bag ($1280), which is a total snooze and looks like it was bought off the street, especially with the metallic pink heart-shaped coin purse key chain...eeck! LV makes some great statement bags, but this four-figure one is certainly not one of them.

Eva Longoria in Ted Rossi's Python and Swarovski Circle Clutch

I never thought I'd say this, but for a second when I first looked at the image on the left I thought Eva Longoria Parker was Victoria Beckham! I kind of love her outfit and I totally -- for better or worse -- have a pair of D&G shoes that are dead-ringers for the ones she's got on (though mine were purchased circa 2003). The real star here however is Eva's Ted Rossi Python and Swarovski Crystals Circle Clutch ($498). It's glitzy without being too over-the-top and given its texture it's monochromatic without being boring, so you can easily dress it up or down. The price point is pretty hard to beat and this definitely has closet-staple potential.

What do you think about this Ted Rossi clutch?
