M2Malletier Bags: Going Medieval

M2Malletier Bags

Today, NET-A-PORTER is launching the first ever bag collection from newbie brand M2Malletier. The Spanish-based company designs with medieval medical instruments and armor in mind, as well as Spanish architecture. Sounds like a crazy combo, huh? Just proof that one can find inspiration anywhere and in anything. The results are surprisingly minimalist and not at all terrifying. But all you have to do is look to the hardware (called “the needle”) to be reminded of what designers Melissa Losada and Marcela Velez sculpted their structured pieces after. This signature feature decorates all of the bags, which range from hexagonal shoulder to doctor style (how appropriate!). Blood red seems like an obvious choice, but there’s also classic black, white, nude, wine, and eggplant to choose from. Pick your poison and then prepare for the next collection – when purple croc slithers its way into the lab. Pieces range from $1,200 to $1,600. Exclusively on NET-A-PORTER.

These bags look they can hold any 80 year old’s dentures!!! I would never pay money for these! When you can get a junk car that will get at least a year’s worth of use for that price! Please mother’s like me, who are savvy would definitely like to spend their money on something more reasonable(and more stylish)then this!
