Yes, we’re all here for what’s on the runway, but seeing what’s off the catwalk can be just as delightful (at times dreadful). Outside the tents is more of a circus, but it’s one that I’d happily go to anytime for the pure entertainment value. Prada was prowling the streets yesterday, proving that you don’t have to be over-the-top to get photographed. With a leather jacket, a pair of skinnies, and black boots, the luxe saffiano bag got the downtown chic treatment. Available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,960.
Balenciaga’s studded Arena Giant 12 Gold Hip also went a little toned down with a long navy coat and camo print jeans. You have to respect a woman who does Fashion Week in flats. Available at Barneys New York for $815.
