At last night’s SAG Awards, Naomi Watts was sheer perfection with barely there makeup and a bold red lip. Her old world glam Marchesa gown and elegant Ferragamo clutch made her into a modern screen goddess. And I was so happy that Jessica Chastain went back to McQueen. Her gold-embroidered Oscars gown last year was such a standout, and this red dress kept up the glam! Even though it was a bit too tight for her, it was still my favorite dress of the night. But as a Bag Snob, I can’t help but be a little disappointed – where is your clutch, Jessica?? Yes, she’s wearing a gorgeous (yet insanely overpriced) $1.25 million Harry Winston necklace, but she has nowhere to store her phone. Priorities.
Okay, I definitely gasped when Jennifer Lawrence’s Dior gown looked like it was ripping on her way up the stage, but it all worked out! Maybe she was carrying some safety pins in her Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit clutch.
