The Golden Globes: Roger Vivier Soiree
By Bag Snob Tina on January 14, 2013 11:29 am Tina Craig

The Golden Globes

The Golden Globes

From Jessica Alba‘s whimsical “poodle” clutch (favorite!) to Anne Hathaway‘s sophisticated satin, it’s clear that no Hollywood A-lister dared to appear without a Vivier dangling from their manicured hands. The gown of the night was definitely Julianne Moore, though, if merely for the fact that she rang “Tom” (you know, as in Ford) and asked him to whip her up a dress. But back to Vivier – the orange pouf was a great addition of fluffy flair to Jessica’s Oscar de la Renta dress. Her hair, (coral) makeup, and Harry Winston jewels were all perfection – one of the best of the night! Vivier Pochette Prisme Poodle clutch at Roger Vivier for $1,725.

The Golden Globes

Many actresses forgot to wear lipstick or comb their hair last night, but Naomi Watts hit the makeup, hair, and Zac Posen gown with perfection. Debra Messing went a different way, bucking the red and nude trend on the carpet. This gorgeous redhead proves that classic black is just that in a dramatic Donna Karan Atelier gown. But with Jennifer Lawrence, my appreciation was not as immediate. I hated the boobs until I got used to the boobs. Does that make sense?? The truth is that haute couture is not supposed to make sense, so the Dior gown was a winner. An element of surprise is always chic. Bucking the va va voom slit up to there and cut down to there trend, Kerry Washington looked the picture of fabulous in Miu Miu.

THE MANY BAGS OF ROGER VIVIER

The Golden Globes

Kate Hudson’s such a sex bomb. The sleek Vivier Boite de Nuit clutch went well with her equally sleek black McQueen gown. Only a small-chested girl can look this chic in a plunging neckline. Any more cleavage and it can get vulgar. And how gorgeous is that carefree California girl hair?!

The Golden Globes

A winner in white! Anne Hathaway went head-to-toe for her big night with Vivier’s satin Night Tube Clutch in hand. A delicate bag with a big embellishment. Few can achieve the boy/girl look she did in Chanel. I applaud her and her awesome smugness.

Kate Hudson’s dress was my fave of the night but Jessica Alba’s hair, makeup, jewels, everything: perfection!
