All you snobs know I’ve long been a fan of Madrid-based luxury house Loewe and their understated way with luxury, so it’s about time they finally hit the American big leagues on Net-a-Porter! No surprise their bags are already selling like hotcakes on the site.
If you’re still new to the lure of Loewe and their delectable way with leather, then you might want to spring for a super-basic staple, like the Flamenco textured shoulder bag ($2,600). But if you’re anything like me, something snazzier with quench your craving for some Spanish.
Out of a Spring collection inspired by Surrealist artist Salvador Dali’s muse, Gala, who was ever-so sensual (actually, to put it bluntly, she was quite randy), this mostly neutral bag has just the pop of energy you likely need in the middle of January, as spirits wane. The Amazona in suede and leather is a Loewe classic, but fluorescent-orange handles shake it up right. On Net-a-Porter for $2,400.
Pair with: Just when I was officially over platforms, up trot these massive, magnificent Prada chunkers. The chocolate leather and all-over stud accents seem to complement the Amazona perfectly. At Barneys New York for $1,100.
