Gwyneth was spotted out and about recently carrying the alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet “Olivia” bag for Spring 2013. Now, we can only assume, but it looks as though she must be on her way to go knock down a few pins because there has got to be a bowling ball in there. I get the general idea of the shape, but the bag itself is far too large and structured to function properly as a crossbody/shoulder bag, as you would topple over and/or accidently knock someone into traffic with a simple twist of the hips. It’s even a little bulky as a top handle. It also resembles a fancy trunk you’d see in a 1950’s powder room. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. Their other bags for Spring 2013 include the ‘See’ bag for everyday use and the ‘D’ bag for women on the go. Interesting name choice. What’s that you’re carrying? Oh, it’s my D bag. Just sayin’. The line will launch in early February and will be available exclusively in a+o stores and aliceandolivia.com.
