Latest fixation: all things Damir Doma! The refined Parisian started out as a menswear designer in 2008 (Lenny Kravitz and Robert Pattinson are fans). Now his latest collection for the ladies means he’s altogether obsession-worthy.
Spring welcomes his pared-down sensibility and impossible sense of chic. Streamlined clutches, cuffed and bladed, are sharp enough to cut tension with a knife, but the Doma girl doesn’t feel it anyway. She’s as cool as a cucumber. These are pieces for the minimalist snob who wants slightly more…without resorting to more.
If you sense a cool edge, you’re right on: Damir Doma’s Senior Accessories Designer, Salvatore Congiu, was formerly at Givenchy. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been this excited about a label. Mark my words, and keep your eye out for this brand.
