The ultimate Man Snob Michael Carl (that’s Carl’s Crush to you) just posted his gift guide on Vanity Fair’s website today and not a moment too soon! Men are notoriously hard to shop for, so here are some of the fashion market director’s chicest suggestions. Donate your guy’s tired old nylon duffel bag and treat him to Tod’s classic leather duffel – whether he take sit to the gym or on a weekend jaunt, he’ll be doing it in style. If he’s a tech geek and you’ve bought him Apple’s latest iPad retina edition, why not go all the way and get him a luxe Commes des Garçons case? For my 8-year-old son aka “the boy,” I can’t wait to get the Moncler snowsuit for older kids to take him skiing in this winter. My only concern is Michael’s advice of leaving tots out in the snow – clearly Uncle Michael will not be babysitting the boy when he visits! And of course, the Friday Night Lights complete DVD series will be in my hubby’s stocking – I can’t go another day without him understanding my obsession with Laila and Riggins! And even though I’ve been trying to get him to stop smoking, I’ll get him this Hermès ashtray. When he does finally quit, I’ll use it as a jewelry tray (yes, I’ll re-gift it to myself).
