American Express Points for Presents: December’s Delights
By Bag Snob Tina on December 5, 2012 6:00 am Tina Craig

American Express Rewards with Points, Michael Kors Watch, Bag, L'Occitane Cream Set, Vitamix Blender

I have used my American Express points to buy multiple cameras, shoes, and, of course, bags from Neiman Marcus and Saks. Amex is really spreading the love this December; their Rewards just got even better. Whether a chain-accented Michael Kors bag or the sleek Apple TV (so gifting myself that), you can use your points to buy it all! I am constantly amazed at friends who don’t know how to cash in their Amex points for purchases or gift cards, I live for points and use my Amex for everything, even my phone bills, just to get more points!

Tech Snob Rich will be getting the iPad with Retina display from Kelly and me (he picked it out so I’m not spilling a secret), and the gadget bug has gotten me, too. Accessories are always nice, but I am currently obsessed with the Vitamix blender Kelly got me for my birthday. It is life-changing. I didn’t think I would even use it, but I’m taking advantage of it several times daily! If you splurge on one thing for yourself or a loved one this season, get a Vitamix!

Find out Point for Presents details here and be sure to check out all the gifts for your picking pleasure.

Tina, how do you use the vitamix? I just got one from my aunt for Hanukkah, still sitting in the box. I was contemplating returning it.

Hi Julie! I use it several times a day. In the mornings I throw fresh kale, a slice of melon or apple, chia seeds and 6-8 oz of water in it and blend. It’s delicious! Or Almond milk/cashews/dates/cinnamon for a mid-day energy protein shake!

I love my vitamix! Julie, I don’t know how Tina uses hers but I make smoothies every morning with fresh fruit and yogurt! It also makes soup though I’ve yet to get that adventurous.

Hi Julie, I know you have! So happy you’re still with us. We have lots of exciting announcements coming up in the new year :)
re: Vitamix- you can put in water and chicken with veggies and herbs and it makes chicken soup! Crazy! The friction creates high enough heat to cook it-! I watched the demonstrator make chicken tortilla soup- he said to cheat and use boiling water and it cooks faster. it was delish!!!

      foodsnob…. it’s a thought ! xo
