From the streets to the shore, the ultimate urbanista designer, Monica Botkier, gets beachy for Spring/Summer 2013. It looks like the New York City native has been catching weekend flights to Miami. The juicy colors of the instant-classic Valentina ($195 for the hipster, $295 for the shoulder) have me positively drooling – and seeing some South Beach inspiration! Citrus steals the scene; these can’t miss shades are hyper-sunny without looking cutesy.
On a more muted (and equally striking) note, the metallic Wanderlust tote, in small ($195) and large ($245) sizes, makes me long for sunset strolls on white sand beaches. But city girls need not fret if they don’t happen to stray far from the pavement this season. Between the Ludlow in both tote ($545) and hip crossbody ($245) form, you’re covered to face the heat of summer, come office days and playtime. Taken with the energetic, feminine Spring ’13 runway looks, Botkier’s latest collection can carry the girl about town from graphic florals to splashy brights to sweet pastels without skipping a beat. And it just might encourage her to hop on a last-minute flight for a fun-filled weekend!
To be available on Botkier.
Also, this Thursday (11/29) and Friday (11/30) from 10 AM to 8 PM, Botkier will be having their sample sale at their showroom at 525 Broadway, with up to 70% off handbags, wallets and shoes.

Love and need every single one of these!
When will the Spring ’13 collection be available? I can’t wait to buy the Wanderlust tote!
