Oh, Narciso! After a quiet lull, I’m back in love with the designer, who brought chic, strong, and sexy in spades to his Spring 2013 collection at NYFW. Now he’s bringing us covetable bags that fall into the same streamlined category of Victoria Beckham and The Row, but let’s face it: he was designing long before Posh and the Olsens!
Kelly just fell for the lizard-accented ostrich version of this bowler, but I don’t even crave all that luxuriant skin when the design is this solid and the shape this gorgeous. Narciso knows less is more, especially when you have a great taste and your calfskin leather looks positively lush. With refined edges and tailored seams, this rolled-handle day bag will prove powerful in the boardroom, ladylike when lunching in a structured dress (one by Roland Mouret would do nicely!), and easy for casual weekend strolls when you want to take a scarf or book with you. Black is an obvious choice, but I’m all for russet – neutral yet striking, much like the tote itself. At Barneys New York for $3,200.

Gorgeous! Practical! Very nice! And…the ostrich version is amazing too!
