I discovered the most amazing new online store this week! Get ready to be addicted to ModeWalk.com, a site offering only Parisian designers, many of them award-winning, from Azzaro to Philippe Roucou to Michel Perry. With both ready-to-wear and couture, the site is chock-full of fabulous and unique things for “the woman who treats her wardrobe as a collection.” (Present!)

I now have my eye on this Alexis Mabille (yes, the couturier!) Classic Bow bag ($560). It’s that rare combination: quirky, fun, and so useful. The center is easy to hold – and it maintains the look of a floppy bow in your hand. Finished with leather tassels, each side of the bow has a zippered compartment, so it’s like two clutches in one. My favorite part? It’s been handcrafted at Alexis Mabille’s design studio in Paris!!! The version I’m holding below is in an ultra-soft fabric that feels, and looks, like suede. I plan to buy this and pin it to a black dress – having my bag attached to me will be most useful at cocktail parties! And having ModeWalk bookmarked will be most exciting whenever I need to get my Parisian-designer fix.
