Tom Ford Natalia Bag: Why Tom’s the Bomb
By Bag Snob Tina on August 10, 2012 6:00 am Tina Craig

The man has been around for countless seasons, but he ages like a great vintage wine, only getting more tempting with time. I’m talking about his bags, of course! The polish of Tom Ford never fails to excite me. Only he can take a simple square-shaped bag from utterly drab to shockingly fab. Think you’ve seen leather, whether it’s suede or classic, accentuated with gold hardware hundreds of times before? Forget everything else because Tom’s touch is truly golden. The Natalia’s exaggerated turn-lock closure in “look at me” shiny metal speaks to my inner ’80s goddess (she only needs a bit of cajoling to come out!). Burning-red peccary suede effect and black kidskin are equally sexy. This is what I love about Tom: he juxtaposes subtle sophistication and high drama perfectly – because that cocktail is him to the core. Available for $3,690 at Bergdorf Goodman.

It is a nice bag but the clasp reminds me of Chanel’s 2.55 Reissue.

Nice first attempt. A bit 70′s, a bit Roger Vivier.. it works!

The clasp is identical to the one on the Chloe bag I bought in the spring.
