Newsflash! Blumarine moves to Sesame Street! I bet Big Bird is happy to have new furry neighbors, though I’m not so sure about how Cookie Monster feels about the recent additions.
A chubby jacket in fluffy Mongolian fur, I can get behind (especially when the temperature falls and the winds get brisk). But a handbag that could keep you cozier than most Afghan blankets and down comforters? Now this, I take issue with.
Only recently have I begun to warm to fur bags, but only those of the sophisticated sheared-mink variety (see J. Mendel Fall 2012’s collection). Not those of the exploding-neon, powder-puff family. As we’ve been saying for years: your wallet doesn’t get cold, so why does it need a big fur bag? Save the fluff for your own hide and let your necessities get a little chilly. Trust me, they won’t mind.
