I’m loving everything about this satchel, except the tassel. Too bad it’s called the Tassel bag. Unfortunate choice of name, and detail, aside, I’m all for Mulberry’s latest confection of leather, buckles, and studs. It still owns their classic east-west shape and modern-messenger feel, but it has now been tapered off and shortened up for maximum perkiness.
The result is the Alexa with new life breathed into it. Suddenly, the twin straps look fresh, and the vibe is busy – in a good way. Out with the postman’s lock and in with a knotted bow (and those decked-out tassels). It’s almost unrecognizable! Especially in this delicious cranberry color – or as Mulberry calls it, Black Forest – which I’m all about. Now, if only I could chop those dangling suckers off and I’d be sold on the No-Tassel bag.
