Another Friday, another high-low showdown! It seems like mesh is just the right material for the sea-faring mood that strikes us this time of year. A bucket tote does not make for my all-time favorite style, but it does work into a casual lifestyle. So, to spend or not to spend?

But even on sale it’s $951 – not what you want to spend just to create a certain mood for a night at the Hollywood Bowl (and to use for stashing a bottle of wine!).
Instead, opt for the Frugal Friday choice of $375. With a contrasting trim in hot tangerine, Linea Pelle’s good-time bucket is even more festive and summery than Stella’s. Plus, this mesh has interior lining, so you won’t find your lip gloss and keys poking out. And besides I like my privacy, thank you very much.
