My friend the Recessionista on Twitter sent me this link of Clint Eastwood’s fame seeking 19 year old daughter burning a crocodile birkin on TMZ and it was all I could do not to scream. I get the shock factor, I get that money can buy you anything (except, apparently, CLASS). But this is ridiculous! Destroying a beautiful (not to mention outrageously expensive bag) is just crazy! And what is a 19 year old doing with enough cash to buy such a birkin, not to mention feeling justified in burning it for cheap publicity?! Nice job raising your kid, Clint Eastwood. She is a class act.

Doesn’t look real to me.
Fake or real, it’s a ridiculous and desperate cry for attention.
I couldn’t agree more!!!
so true
Please don’t burn the bag,ok?
Could it be for this contest and not a real bag?

It is just an act of protest, she is bored, that is all, Birkin bag is a beautiful creation, however, maybe she wants to show that it is not worth all that money? or perhaps that she does not care. An act of vandalism always has emotional meaning behind it…
Wow! Life is truly unfair LOL while people like me who only dream to own an Hermes some people like her just burn em. Gosh! If you only she just give that money for charity than burnin an awesome bag
So, the poor crocodile died in vain, the workers who put in a lot of time and craftsmanship was for nothing… this was good money that she did nothing to earn… it is disgusting to me, and in poor taste. Why not do something productive…
Destroying a beautiful is just crazy! oh ! no!!
The epitome of the saying some people have more money than brains.
Her boyfriend is a photographer and this was part of a series of photographs he was working on. She was in the photo, but it was his project. She didn’t just randomly light a bag on fire for attention.
