The cooler than thou brand by Alex Davis launched with aplomb last Fall with a line of designer boots handcrafted in Spain by Moroccan artisans. And now – to the delight of bag snobs everywhere – we found out the upstart brand will offer its first collection of bags today on their site.
Just like its boots, Cobra Society anchors its bags in quality construction and tasteful style. Snobs have three bags in two styles to choose from- the Louise clutch and the Tangier bag. The Louise clutch ($595) boasts a sleek traditional shape with an ultra modern handle. The golden hue and asymmetry of the handle add just enough detail to the smooth black leather.
The Tangier bag (small $850 and large $1050) combines Davis’ love of unique Moroccan kilim fabrics, such as hand-loomed tapestries, with top quality Italian and Spanish leathers. With its double handle, The Tangier is a great grab-n-go no matter if you’re going to work or to play. The golden Cobra Society logo is the perfect example of how Davis is smart and not trying to re-invent the wheels of bag design, but rather, adds her own distinctive touches to timeless styles.
