Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Collection: The Spice of Life
By Bag Snob Tina
February 13, 2012

My first show of New York Fashion Week took place at the intimate venue of the New York Public Library – and I couldn’t have been happier than to kick it off with Victoria Beckham. Not only is Fall 2012 her best ready-to-wear collection to date, it also presented us with the widest range of bags we have seen from her yet!

Amid bold, body-hugging stripes, chunky knit socks (piled out of Christian Louboutin boots) and buttoned-up military jackets was a well-edited selection of large, oversized bags and clutches to complement the clothes. Creamy taupe panels set off thick maroon leather, duffel style set off with exotic panels, for a riff on racing stripes, and hardware kept to an absolute minimum, aside from a rare gold-zipper toss-in.

And best of all: a twist on last season’s chain-strapped twist. Victoria’s newest additions to her sleek totes are pin-thin, suede envelope clutches brought to life by bold leather straps, bundled up around the wrists of the models. It’s a collection we all left thinking, more Victoria please.
