Totally agree with you on the Vanessa Bruno totes. I have them in canvas and leather . The more muted colours work well to the office too in addition to a handbag.
There is absolutely no way I would pay nearly $900 for a STRAW tote. I bought a COACH straw tote that was one of their poppy limited edition pieces but it was on clearance at Macys for $70 (down from over $200). I loved it because it was playful and perfect for summer. It was made of glittery straw with a leather pouch in the front and leather trimming around the handles. Wouldn’t have paid full price for it but at a discount, it was worth it.
