Fendi Snakeskin Chameleon Small Saddle Bag: Snake Charmer
By Bag Snob Tina
December 5, 2011

There’s always a chance I’m speaking too soon, but I’m beginning to think Fendi has shed their logo-flaunting ways for good. From their sleek-ified Chamelon bag to the use of materials like canvas to their play on perforation for Spring 2012, the house has turned over a new leaf and I’m appreciating the makeover.

Could this cross-body saddle bag be anymore cheerful? Abstracted into a brightly colored pattern that almost resembles little budding flowers, I don’t think leopard print has ever looked so peppy! On luxuriant snakeskin, such a power play is a risky move – thanks to flawless craftsmanship, it works. With a contrasting leather strap that’s design to hang long and loose, this bag will be best worn by the charismatic young thing who has a way mixing new and vintage, high and low. And with classical gold magnetic hardware, just hinting at the trademark “F,” it’s got a splash of class. For the lady in training, this bag is more charming than refined – and that’s just the idea. At Barneys New York for $1,510.

Pair with: Choose a shoe that’s deliberately kooky and you might look like you belong in kindergarten. Choose a shoe that’s utterly classic with an offbeat twist and you have the right vibe going on. Charlotte Olympia is the current queen of the pump. This time she has livened up the black suede slingback with a mirrored island platform.

At Neiman Marcusicon for $905.
