As much as I enjoy the heart palpitations that come with Barneys’ biannual warehouse sale, I have to say the sale prices right now are so hard to beat, you would be crazy to wait. And the bags? 1) Derek Lam Suede Anthea Satchel, for $699 (from $1,790): A modern classic, Derek Lam’s ram’s head hardware will never grow tired, and in delicious plum suede, this is a winter delight. Use it day after day and let it wear in nicely.
2) Lanvin Miss Sartorial Flap Pochette, for $759 (from $1,890): I love the fact that Lanvin has gone sleek and chic this season. With a dash of golden hardware and several precision-perfect stitches, their grained-leather pochette is right on.
3) Valextra Capri Tote, for $379 (from $950): Right in time for a warm-weather getaway, Valextra’s deeply elegant tote of navy leather and creamy jute cotton will take you from the plane to the beach with understated sophistication. And I adore the inclusion of a matching pouch!
