Bag Snob x DKNY Travel Bag: You Getaway with Everything!
By Bag Snob Tina on November 16, 2011 10:41 am Tina Craig

The chic carry-on bag, both fitting comfortably under the seat and in your hand. The Bag Snob x DKNY weekend duffel that looks like something you actually want to carry and holds all of your two-day essentials. Should be easy to find right?

After years of traveling with bags that didn’t quite have all the answers, I’m so happy to introduce a getaway bag that really makes me want to jet off! The Travel bag is as sleek, spicy, and glamorous as some of my favorite night-on-the-town bags, but at 15” by 17” it’s roomy enough to hold a couple changes of clothes, toiletries, magazines, your laptop, and loads more.

Along with the Tote, this bag was inspired by those iconic days when airline travel was something polished and exotic. An event to put on lipstick and heels for! But, of course, we know that’s not how most snobs jet-set these days, so we blended luxury – rich blue suede, quality black leather, and metallic gold leather trim – and bold graphic lines with a sense of casual ease, courtesy of a vague bowling bag style.

More importantly, the interior. There’s nothing worse when you’re traveling (aside from getting squeezed into the middle seat in coach and your plane not leaving the runway for two hours) than when you pack carefully only to find your stuff a jumbled mess before you’ve arrived. With two main interior compartments, along with clear zip pouch pockets, and even a detachable mirror, the Travel has all the details to keep you organized and moving in style. On Net-a-Porter for $565.

When open it doubles as my vanity stand with a mirror!

This looks phenomenal. The inconvenience of travel bags drives me CRAZY. I think my favorite part is that throwback elegance that the shape and blue suede have!!!

That bag is just everything that a bag should be – including impossible to find the phone in it when it rings!

It is a great looking bag, however I don’t understand why there is no shoulder strap? I would never buy a travel bag that I can’t throw over my shoulder when I have to run to catch a plane. or am I not seeing it in the pictures? Love the treasure bag had pre-ordered it and got it end of Oct! :)

This bag is totally great for travel and it looks like one of the Pan Am bags. Pan Am bags are really hot this year.
