Inspired by the “classic men’s cabin bag,” Reed Krakoff has crafted his famed Gym bag in cheerfully bright yellow for his Pre-Spring 2012 collection. Actually, the color of this bag is such a pick-me-up, I’m humming “Bright Sunshiny Day” as I write this.
Nope, there is nothing like a cheeky citrus bag to jumpstart your spring wardrobe. As a matter of fact, yellow is the easiest color in the whole spectrum to see (even those who are colorblind can still usually spot it), so you know it will make you stand out in the crowd.
Set it in pebble napa leather and put it in the Gym bag style, which has always been my favorite tote from Reed – a metro look for both boy and girl snobs – and we have a winner. A great, sleek size (just some low-key black nickel hardware, so the hue is adequately emphasized), and as it is with all of Reed’s satchels, it’s lightweight and oh-so-easy to use on a daily basis. Available exclusively at Reed Krakoff for $890, for pre-order (to be shipped in early-November).
Pair with: No color wars here. Go for seamless high-shine and total walk-ability with Christian Louboutin’s Dufferin metallic loafers. Anthracite with black embellishments will compliment the black accents of your tote, and menswear inspiration speaks to the boyish gym-bag style. On Net-a-Porter for $995.

such a great color!
The bags are still made in China, right? Well, I have always said that a bag that is not made in Italy or the good ol USA should not be price over $1000.00….and here it is. Nice bag…
I have been consistently surprised by the quality of Reed Krakoff bags – in fact, when I visited Saks this past weekend, these bags were better quality than many of the European powerhouses… and more affordable. “Made in Italy” doesn’t mean quality every time, I guess.
@Sandra Rowley, just because a product is made in China does not mean it lacks in quality or does not qualify for the responding price tag of 1000+ think about it… RK has been in the business for decades… Why would he produce tens if thousands of products without mass quality control? And besides.. What makes you think that the European powerhouses manufacture every stitch and detail in Italy? More than half of the materials used by Prada, Gucci etc are manufactured in china and put together in Italy. Reed Krakoff’s quality is unmatchable and can’t be beat in terms of bang for your buck. I suggest you research your powerhouses.
RK bags are coach bags with inflated retails and same quality – I know b/c I worked there
