Anne Hathaway (looking gorgeous by the way, I find her prettier in print than film) is the face of this new collection shot by famed photographers Mert Alas& Marcus Piggott referencing Guy Bourdin’s world of luxury (TOD’S Creative Director Derek Lam once told me he is a big fan of Guy Bourdin) and art. This candy colored collection is a vibrant tribute to the House of TOD’S. I am itching to get my hands on the Signature fuchsia evening clutch bag above with removable chain ($1,095)– it reminds me of the iconic Chanel classic flap bag, injected with a modern youthful exuberance that Derek is known for. The purses look great-I’m a big fan of Tods. But not Anne Hathaway. Why do these companies feel they need a celebrity endorsing their brand? We are not all wannabes!! Sick of celebs, what happened to the old days when models modeled fashion?
I saw these a while ago…did not care for them…they felt plastic like. Also, most of the styles are matronly, despite the marketing to the younger set.
