After giving us every incarnation of the “Morning After” bag imaginable, we finally have a refreshing departure. “Ben’s Tote” is full of striking yet simple details, just the way I like them. Woven black leather on a square tote makes for the ideal daytime bag – the casual airiness of a straw bag with a twist of refinement. And yes, I’m (way) into square totes.
Especially ones that have all the practical accoutrements: an outer pocket that blends right in, due to the dark weave; a top zip for security; and untraditionally adjustable straps. Each strap slides up and down the length of the bag and you punch in the studs where you want them – a cool designwith a look that reminds me of Proenza Schouler‘s “PS1″ style, but not so much that it bothers me.
