Madrid’s venerable house of Loewe has produced luxury goods since 1846. And it has recently been on a real handbag hot streak! (The “May” bag is utterly divine!).
But I’m sorry to say their latest effort, the “Flamenco” bag, flops – literally. A modern take on their emblematic eighties bag, it is, admittedly, a nice change from the highly structured “Amazon.” However, this quasi-hobo in Napa leather with large pull tassels is just a bit too uninspired to be totally worthy of its reputable maker.
Described as “Loewe’s funniest and cheekiest handbag,” it’s actually not so much curvaceous as it is bloated and the tassels seem present only out of lack of a better notion. Even infused with ubiquitous colorblocking (blue on purple, coral on pink) the “Flamenco” evokes gypsy, not luxury – and certainly not what we expect from Loewe. I think I will take my Flamenco the old-fashioned way: over Rioja at a tapas bar! Available at Loewe for $2,084.

I cannot believe Loewe would make this. It is awful.
I think they are finaling getting recognized again. I think its a good move for old dying co! They are fun and “cheeky”!
i actually love it~ it’s quite cute~
I think they look a little low budget and cheap. The color combinations don’t work at all for me.
I’m not so sure on how I feel about these yet?! But I do love the colors.

Ashley

I think the colours are fantastic…very eye-cathcing
i love these pouch bags, they’re so handy as they have the perfect amount of space! Like Ann Louise Landelius’ ‘pouchette’ bag!

It has happened more than a year from this article, but I think you’d changed you opinion about this beautiful and soft bag. It has been one of the best sellers of the luxury brand
