Parisian hipster-cool brand Zadig & Voltaire has been expertly blending hard and soft for years (skulls on cashmere, butterflies on leather), so I’m surprised so few Americans have yet to catch on. (They have a handful of shops in the States: one in LA, four in NYC.) I discovered the boutique in Paris three years ago and instantly fell in love with their accessories. Two chunky studded leather belts were my first purchase, followed by a slight addiction to their cashmere knits.
Now with new face Erin Wasson, Zadig & Voltaire might be set to take on the world. The Texas-native and hippie skater-bad girl could not be more perfect for the brand: she exudes their laid-back, “I’m with the band” confidence.
So do the new fall bags. The “Rock Snake Deluxe” shoulder bag in metallic is too tough to look tacky, complete with their signature skull-and-wings logo. The chain-straps convert to a cross-body style, perfect for dancing the night away. For day, the “Carla Bis Bubble” totes are classics with a twist, via the porous, distressed leather, rugged hardware, and touch of grommet studs. Leave it to the Parisians to get American rock ‘n’ roll style right – with just enough class!
“Rock Snake Deluxe” Shoulder Bag, $490.
“Carla Bis Bubble” Totes, $630.

How dare you speak about Zadig&Voltaire, the worst of french fashion ? All their products are the worst quality China can make.
What isn’t made in China these days? I don’t think Zadig & Voltaire is any worse than coach or Alexander Wang
At the very begining, Zadig & Voltaire used to make very nice quality handbags & not overpriced… Since they started to become big, prices rise and the quality had become worst and worst… I bought one of these bags & it keep going back to repair… So think twice before you get one of their bag.
