Vintage Snob: Vintage Martini

I blame my shopping partners-in-crime, Judy Aldridge (of Atlantis Home) and Jane Aldridge (of Sea of Shoes), for introducing me to Vintage Martini (the world’s most amazing vintage store) and for my now very over-crowded closet. In the last 12 months I have been showing up regularly like a deranged addict, thankfully owner Ken Weber always has a fix for me. Whether it’s a sparkly 70s Oscar de la Renta dress or a 50′s fur trimmed Dior jacket, Vintage Martini has it!

There is also an abundance of vintage bags (I snagged three vintage Bottega Veneta bags in December) including lots of 40′s & 50′s exotic handbags. Ken scours the world for fabulous finds and has an incredible eye (he can spot an original Pierre Balmain from miles away). But the best part is he prices them SO reasonably.

He recently returned from a nationwide road trip with hundreds of new designer items– I convinced him to open the store earlier today for a few hours to host my vintage obsessed friends before he puts everything out for public consumption on Tuesday (Vintage Martini is closed on Sundays and Mondays). Thanks for a fun filled day of bubbly & vintage shopping, Ken!

Go to Vintage Martini here and sign up for the newsletter cuz he’s got insanely fabulous items coming soon! Or go to the store– 1106 Main Street in historical downtown Carrollton.

I am so thrilled vintage is back “in”. There can be some amazing finds out there for the diligent or those who have fabulous buyers like Vintage Martini. For those who are intimidated, shop around and make a connection with the owner. They will look for the items you seek. It’s like no other shopping experience.

I have an amazing lizard box bag but the handle is needing some repair. Any recommendations Miss Bag Snob? I’m not interested in my local leather repair for such a delicate job. Also, if you have any recommendations on tarnished hardware, we’d love to hear it!

Will he put the new items on line? I don’t see any of the bags you featured here. Quite like the red velvet one.
