As wild as Rihanna’s hair and wardrobe choices may be, she’s actually quite the traditionalist when it comes to bags (her mother obviously taught her well). Prada‘s Natural City calf bag is just the toned-down yet super-chic accessory for the young pop star’s flamboyant style. This Spring/Summer 2011 edition is the Prada I have known, loved, and carried since college: a deceptively simplistic design with plenty of details. They don’t jump out at you right away, but the subtle you discover daily as if it’s a brand new bag.

While I prefer this buttery bag for day, RiRi paried it with loafers and a sweater dress for a casual night out, which works great as well. For Rihanna, such an understatedly polished look, especially juxtaposed against her striking flame locks, is almost as shocking as her pasties-and-blazer combo a couple years back.
