Victoria Beckham Fall 2011

“Structured will always exist in my handbag line, but I felt it was the right time to add some volume while softening the silhouettes,” Victoria Beckham told Bag Snob following her fall show. “I think women want to be confident and comfortable with their clothes AND bags.” This season, along with the easier shapes, Beckham developed her bag line to include practical-looking duffels and totes, but done in super soft cashmere and leather. My favorite piece from the collection is an over-the-shoulder duffel that has a nomadic vibe to it–if you’re version of wandering the lands is covered in suede. The new shopper tote maintains a somewhat rigid shape but gently expands out to increase volume. And while I admit I like her first season structured bags more, these, judging by retailers’ reported 100 percent sell-throughs, will be a big hit.

No, that’s Vbh/hermes. Vbh knocks off Hermes. Somethings are different bw Vbh and Hermes such as the clutches and hobos. Definitely, Vbh and Hermes inspired

What I love most about her collection is the choice for colors and sizes and her lovely chemistry between that and shape.

My appreciation to her, she`s done a fab job

I can see the VBH inspiration. And to a previous comment, to say VBH directly copies Hermes, or “knocks off”, is more then a far stretch – it is just untrue. VBH has maybe one handbag that has a slight Hermes feel but all in all is much more modern. VBH, in my eyes will be the next Hermes, if it keeps up the product quality and one of a kind shopping experience it currently gives its customers.

While I appreciate the workmanship and quality of materials in her handbag line, all I keep thinking is impractical. Most of these would be impractical in my daily life with the exception of the duffles. However, I just wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing the duffles either because they are in suede.

On top of that, it’s a little boring, but I like to have some bells and whistles to my bags.

I love the structured models – clean lines and shapes. The black one as well as the one with tan suede are simply lovely. Looks as if I could fit my laptop in as well.

LOL what a HUGE joke to say she is ripping off Hermes, goes to show the person who made that comment doesn’t know much about bags nor design!!

Anyhow, the bags are more relaxed this season, i mean they were perfect with he clothes she showed, which was by far her most accomplished collection to date, it was simply perfect!

Thanks Jim for your report about her bags, always appreciated, i am actually interested in Mrs Beckhams fashion career, i think next to the Olsen Twins, she has been really on a level of her own!
