We got word that Net-a-porter will have a surprisingly likable bag from Versace tomorrow (Monday) morning. Versace is not known for subtlety but understated elegance is exactly what this hobo bag brings to mind. Very clever to use whip stitching and functional patch pockets to embellish the bag in lieu of dangling fringes or flashy crystals. I don’t even mind the small logo plaque plate that much (some people want credit for their designer purchases, I get that). If this is any indication of the direction Versace bags are headed, I say bravo!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually like this bag! I’ve disliked Versace for the past 5-6 years. Here’s to hoping they’ll be putting out better looking bags we’ll actually want to buy.
