Proenza Schouler Fall 2011 Bags + Pre-order!
By Bag Snob Tina

Proenza Schouler’s Fall 2011 show was nothing short of spectacular. Paying homage to the Native American girl with an All American flavor, the colorful and bold collection was inspired by a collection of Navajo blankets acquired on a road trip taken by Jack and Lazaro from Santa Fe to Wyoming. Traditional silk macrame woven on supple black leather strikes an innovative balance of old and new– one that the duo is known for.  You can pre-order the blanket jacquard bags now (October delivery), I’m partial to the PS1 pochette, a day clutch will take you from lunch to cocktail hour seamlessly– Proenza Schouler PS1 Pochette Blanket Jacquard for $975

Other notable bags on the runway include slick calf skin clutches with patch pockets– a new silhouette for the season and one that I’m dying to get my hands on!

I’m new to Proenza Schouler. I see it is a US company. Are the bags made in the US, Italy, or other? I love the fall collection.

Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough just keeping batting the ball out of the ballpark. I am hooked on their PS1s and I have to agree with Tina about the pochette. Although I’m still working on getting my first, a girl can never have enough PS1s, right?

Proenza Schouler’s Native American inspired collection will definitely help increase their consumer population by including Native Americans. These bags will likely have a hefty price tag due to their individual make and interesting blend of materials. The idea of pre-ordering is amazing; it will ensure that you will get your bag. This also means the company is expecting a high sale of this particular product and the idea of pre-ordering makes it seem even more special and exclusive.

Not a fan of the ethnic bags, but I like the leather ones. However, I am still not convinced that I need one in my wardrobe.

These are beautiful! Gorgeous colors and such stunning textures and patterns! It is great that Proenza Schouler pay tribute and respect to the Native American culture in their fabulous It bags. Just about time! Where can I buy the PS1 Native American? Great blog, too, with beautiful selection of bags. I’ll be back for more, for sure.
