As I’ve said earlier, the sack look is not my thing. I think it has a tendency to look frumpy and not very put together, like my neighbor who constantly knocks on my door in her giant Looney Tunes shirts asking if her meatball sub accidentally got delivered to my apartment.
That being said, I love this bag. The suede and black and yellow leather combination of the Diane von Furstenberg Penny Wave Satchel is perfect. Now I know the ivory suede will be a concern to keep clean, but I think since it’s not stark white, and it doesn’t cover the entire bag, it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. I just adore how the top cinches with the golden grommets and braided drawstrings. Of course, I also love the tassels. This would be a perfect summer or vacation day bag to throw on and get going.

Emma, I just saw this bag in the NM catalog and I just love it. Wasn’t sure about it when I first read your post, but after seeing a better pic of it on someone, it is just an amazing bag at a pretty good price.
