Models Love Michael by Michael Kors Hamilton

KarlieKlossbyBonaeLamour3.jpgSure models have no say in what they wear on the runway but they certainly have strong opinions about what they wear on the street. They get to try on the best fashion in the world! So what do they end up wearing? Michael Kors, of course. Patricia van der Vliet , Heidi Mount, Karlie Kloss (on the left) and Karmen Pedaru are all seen with the Hamilton and most of them chose my favorite color in this bag, orange!! The extra large size looks great on these Amazon beauties but it comes in 3 sizes to suit your stature. Usually bags with both top handles and shoulder straps look like they’re having an identity crisis but worn either way, the straps enhance the chic-ness of the overall bag. It also has a fantastic price point, at Michael Kors for $398 (in extra large).

Go to jump page to see images of the models with the Hamilton.

I saw this bag today at Dillard’s, and I love it. It’s the perfect bag. It’s not too big or too small, and the price is right. Michael’s bags are always of good quality.

This bag is a complete knock-off of the Hermes Birkin and I would hesitate being labelled an Birkin wannabee carrying this bag around….I absolutely adore most of Michael Kors bags but this bag does not showcase his usual creativity.

I’m a big MK fan, but the Hamilton is not for me. I agree with sc – it looks too much like a Birkin knockoff.

I agree with the others, it’s too much like a Birkin knock-off. I’d rather carry a bag that doesn’t look like it’s trying to be something else.

I love this bag!!! I have it in orange, vanilla and I’m going to get it in sun. Like someone else said….who gives a CRAP if it looks like a Birkin bag!!! Its a great bag, that’s well made and is affordable. That’s all that matters to me. And besides, I think it looks BETTER than the Birkin bags :)

Michael Kors is well known for giving his bags away as presents for models during show season. He did it with the original Astor, then the updated version, and now with this one too. They all have it because they’re given them free! Many other designers do this too, Lagerfeld handed out those Fendi satchels the girls were wearing a season or too back, and take a look at all those Celine bags out there too in the model style pics.

It’s a great way to showcase them though, very convincing!

I love this bag!!! I have it in blue, my husband purchase it

It for me as an anniversary gift. Everyone is bashing the bag for being a birkin knock off, but I think it’s great that it looks like a birkin. What common person will really ever be able to afford a birkin…. This is the next best thing.

I have this bag in luggage and vanilla. It is a classic, well made timeless bag that I am always proud to carry. I know birkin. This is Hamilton. Let it be it’s own. Hamilton deserves it’s own.

This bag does not look like a Birkin knock off, it IS a knock off. Sure it’s well done, looks good, but really it’s totally a “poor girls Birkin”. My rule of thumb: if the lady who cleans my office or does my nails carries the bag, then it’s not the bag for me.

Wow…. We are in the middle of the worse recession EVER and people still manage to be as mentally capable as neanderthal… WAKE UP! FYI Micheal Kors and Hermes worked together to design the Hamilton… (little known fact). As far as it being the Poor girls Birkin.. Which I do call it myself in fun.. Most hard working American citizens cannot afford to buy a bag that is minimum $9,000. I own a few Hamiltons which are well made and last long.. ages well. When I purchase clothing I don’t purchase clothing to pose as someone or something I am not. Thats childish and RIDICULOUS. So Highschool. I rather spend my hard earned money traveling and helping others. (Which is my CHOICE..if you want to buy expensive material with your money, that is your business and RIGHT) I actually give Hamiltons as one of the many christmas gifts given to employees in my company. Ian you are a perfect example of whats wrong with society. Your comment reflects a poor upbringing with little class. We all should try to conserve a little in 2012 and instead of burning money on items to show your economic status as a fool ….(remember 90% of these celebrities wearing birkins have them for free) Think and give 50% of that money to a poor family that can use that money for food, education, shelter etc. My thoughts with L-O-V-E.
