The Falabella chain shoulder bag is now officially a classic for Stella McCartney. It is so fabulous, it has transcended meat eaters and vegetarians alike. As you know, I am all about skins and the importance of this quality of skin over that, but it really just comes down to design. The non-animal materials used by Stella are still of good durable quality (there’s a range of durability though). The Falabella chain clutch is really such a great great bag, I actually think this design is better suited as a clutch. She did it in this printed snake to be ironic – it is so precise and graphic. But really, it has made me stop to think, do I love the snake for the sake of the snake or do I just like how it looks? I mean, I really don’t care that this is printed snake, I love it!! The Stella McCartney store in NY sells it for $925 but My Theresa has it for $707.90 (includes VAT but not shipping).
i hate the big Falabella but the clutch is amazing and I think that’s really very interesting!!

Prices on her bags (and shoes) are ridiculous since they aren’t made of real leather; I like her designs, but refuse to pay that kind of money for something with cheaper materials and less durability.
Regular brushing ensures your mouth doesn’t smell while regular updates prevent your blog from looking stale.
i really don’t see the point in this clutch. the print looks awful. i understand her “vegan” stance, but when you say “non-animal materials” what EXACTLY do you mean? vinyl? any other equally destructive and appalling petroleum-based textile? cruelty arguments aside, i can’t get past the fact that she openly endorses OIL products as opposed to natural textiles. she doesn’t have to use leather or skins to make vegan bags. she could opt for a coated canvas or a wool felt, or any other number of natural fiber choices that are not as detrimental to our environment as vinyl and other poly-based products. she needs to spend more time researching the textiles and materials she claims to care so much about. it is insulting. as bag snobs, i would you guys would be a little more informed too.
Personally, I agree. I don’t like how some animals are raised but under humane conditions, consumption of animal products is better for the environment than petroleum based ones. I just like the look of this bag, I am not a vegetarian so that is another discussion all together.
