One of the biggest perks of my job is getting to see new bags before anyone else (it shouldn’t matter, I know, but it gives me immense joy and satisfaction to be the first to play with a new bag. I’m such a 12 year old at heart!). Last week in New York, Kelly and I were given a special sneak peek at Botkier‘s Spring 2011 collection– Ava bag addicts rejoice, the uber popular style is back in new spring shades! There were several new styles as well; including the Charlotte, a vintage inspired collection with a heavy dose of modern chic. The Charlotte bags still have Monica’s downtown attitude but with a distinctive uptown sophistication. I mean who else but Monica can offer lady-like structure with street edge style?! I tried on the satchel for size and am happy to report it still has the signature Botkier “slouch” from the super soft leather. I love all the subtle details on this bag, from the slight curve of the flap that frames the shimmering custom hardware to the utilitarian chic straps used to finish the bag, it’s so simple yet well designed! And of course Monica made sure it’s utterly functional as well with convertible straps and multiple interior pockets.
The Charlotte comes in several shapes and colors, including the satchel
above in a gorgeous neutral gray (my fave), an effortless clutch (I need it
in black, like NOW) and a larger hobo shape (jump to see!). Also available in electric blue, lime and bold classic
red.
We saw lots of new Botkier accessories including a super cool make up bag that
literally solves all of our problems but you’ll have to wait to see
those photos (we can’t be greedy and hog up all the exclusives!). The Charlotte collection will be available at Botkier.com next spring.
i super love this bag! an eye-candy definitely.
i want to own one…i should get this one. it looks pretty simple at first but when you’ll notice that unique lock and simple strap. i love it, i swear! =)

Love these and I mean all! The simple strap resembles Loro Piana to me which is always a good thing. Finally a line to look forward to next spring and surprisingly it’s not a high-end designer. My wallet thanks Monica.
Really great bag. First from Botkier I’ve liked actually. Can’t wait to see the lime green bags. Gotta get neon bright for spring
