Alexander Wang Anita Leather Bag

I can not get enough of Alexander Wang bags lately. I almost bought the Daria but then saw this, the Anita and now don’t know what to do! Should I get both? That would be so greedy but they’re so different it makes me feel completely justified in doing so! Like the Daria, the Anita is simple and effortless.  The lack of complicated hardware is what I’m loving about the A/W collection from Wang, but the studded shoulder strap makes it just slightly naughty and gives it a heavy dose of style!  It’s a snap fastening frame bag without the awkward structure, a perfect combo if you ask me.  Such a understated bag but so full of personality!  I must have this!

Hello bag snob. I am on your site all the time. You have great style. Was wondering if you can give me some advice. I am looking to buy my first hermes birkin bag and would like your opinion. What would be the best skin (not exotic) and what would be the best color. Would love one that basically goes with every thing. The only thing i am sure of is that I need size 25 or 30 for me. Also do you have to order these handbags or can I just go to the store and purchase. Sorry for so many questions but I do trust your advice. And sometimes the SA in the stores are a little tough to talk to.

I say get this one instead of the Daria, the shape of the Daria is like a speedy, and a bit…dull.

This one carries a bit more attitude without trying too hard, plus, is a good size & shape, not to mention, versatile :)

    Hi Nancy

I recommend the 30cm as a first birkin purchase. It is the most versatile size in my opinion. As for color, that is very personal. A gray would be amazing but very difficult to get… I’d go with goat skin as it is lighter than most leathers and so durable!

And you’ll have to go to your local Hermes to ask about purchase. Start by choosing a friendly SA to work with. Buy a few trinkets (scarves, bracelets, etc) and keep in touch with her/him. Eventually you’ll get your bag!

    Good luck!
