I am packing and getting ready for my trip to Savannah for the Savannah College of Arts and Design Fashion Show with Andre Leon Talley presenting his namesake Lifetime Achievement Award honoring Diane von Furstenberg. I am really excited about the trip and meeting all the designers who will be. This last week I started shopping for a new carry on, I’m looking forward to flying without tots, which means I’ll have time to read, watch movies and enjoy the flight. As I started looking at bag options this Margiela was a top candidate until I realized how HUMONGOUS it is. I will need to buy a seat just for this bag! Holy, what the heck? How could you possibly carry this around? Even empty, which presumably the bag this model is holding is, looks ridiculously cumbersome. I would have no problems filling it, the issue would be the wheelbarrow I need to accompany it!! I guess, no new bag for me this trip. I just love the way this bag looks. You can still have that fashion sense even if you’re packing up a lot of things for a trip. Anyway, I wonder how many colors are there for me to choose from.
