Prada Painted Clutch with Crystal Clasp
By Bag Snob Kelly

I saw this clutch at the Milan Prada store and was in love. But afterwards, I thought I was attributing my sentimental notions of being at the original Prada store to everything I saw there. But I saw this bag again was again drawn to it. Could it really be nostalgia? Or maybe it really is a fabulous clutch with elements of old Prada, like the shape, combined with Miuccia’s new love of embellishments, the crystal clasp. But here, it is done right – not too much and the perfect accent to create an evening look. I love the oversized “diamonds” reminding me of Ring Pops. The whimsy is subtle but definitely adds an air of youthfulness. The effect of the painted leather is really beautiful in person, it is irregular and looks rubbed off like you would find in a vintage piece. At Barneys New York for $1295.

You had me until you shared the price…$1295!?!?!? Doesn’t this seem overpriced? Do I not understand the price since I’m a man and don’t own any clutches? I don’t even own a mlutch (man clutch) so I just don’t comprehend…

Loving everything Ms. Prada does recently…. the jeweled accents are making me lean toward Prada after a few seasons of Miu Miu love!

Fabulous bag…. timeless and still fun.

Nice except for the hideous Prada logo. I guess I’m still a Bottega girl, or as their old tagline went, “When your own initials are enough.”

Absolutely stunning! Love this bag a lot. If i had the money, i would buy it. I like the kiss clasp to be honest. It really does give it that elegant look. Would look great with a nice evening dress.

Yeah, lovely bag, but I agree with one of the other posters, the $1295 price tag is a little bit off putting!
