Between New Year, Fashion Week and a lot of major globetrotting, I forgot to post these fun segments I filmed for NBC’s LX TV! This one is about shopping the Fall/Winter sales and carrying them into the Spring/Summer. It aired back in January so I am not sure if any of these items are still available. If you caught this segment in NYC two months ago, I hope you rushed down to Barneys and shopped! Click here to watch. Jump for the travel edition– bags to take on vacation.
HUGE thanks to Barneys New York for allowing us to film during store hours! Apparently the only other person given this privilege is Jennifer Aniston– she just filmed at the Beverly Hills location this week. If you must know, I’m wearing a Rodarte leather jacket I’m obsessed with. It’s like a strait jacket with all those straps and wraps but oh sooooooooo cool!
And here is the Travel Edition: bags for different types of vacations!

Tina You look gorgeous and cool at the same time! Congrats!
Great job! When are you on again?
Tina can you tell us why we should own a Hermes Birkin bag? Sometimes I feel I should sell my Hermes Birkin because I never use it. But should I just sell my other bags and just carry the birkin?
As with any bag, you should own it because you LOVE it.
Why did you buy it? Don’t buy something just because everyone else covets it.
My first birkin was over 10 years ago, before all the hoopla around the bag! And my first Kelly bag was 15 years ago, I was obsessed with Grace Kelly and bought the bag with a big paycheck I received. I was young and didn’t fully appreciate them until I started learning more about how the bags were crafted and the history of the brand. Did you know Birkins were originally made as Feed bags for horses? It was also called the Haut a Courrois (HAC), in the 80s Jane Birkin complained her HAC was too tall to fit under plane seats so Hermes shortened the bag, elongated it and called it a “Birkin”.
