The Kelly was front and center at Hermes Fall 2010 in Paris last
week– from rock and roll studs to fluffy sheepskin (and a mini pochette version
attached to an umbrella!), it’s clear the Kelly is giving the birkin a
serious run for the money! I waited for the flurry of blog reviews on Fall 2010 runway shows to die down before posting this so we can fully luxuriate and appreciate the new renditions of the classic Hermes Kelly bag. My favorite is the new studded Kelly (left)– JPG brilliantly modernized this century old design by covering it in glittering studs! I never thought I’d say this about a Kelly bag but this is edgy and youthful, full of rock star attitude. It is Hermes, after all, so it still retains an old world timeless appeal. I have not seen this in person (yet!) but I imagine it will be quite heavy due to the hardware but will be oh so worth the backache (and think of it as a chic way to work out those biceps!)

Just when you think that a classic cannot be improved upon, I get a completely blinged out Hermes. It’s nice to see Hermes step outside of the box.
Classic bag w/ a modern twist – love it. And the studs are subtle enough to avoid looking dated.

Is it just me or is the bag a bit too shiny? iLike it but there`s something about it that`s not really my kind. Would it be the fact that I stick with LV no matter what? Nah, can`t be.

Not that keen,i think it will look great on a quirky dresser,would look odd on someone wearing more conservative clothing.Too seasonal,i’d go for a reg leather or lizard kelly.I really don’t think most people that use a kelly could pull the whole look off.
This bag has been along time coming. Why because I like many other ladies probably felt a little to old for a Kelly or a Birkin, well that’s what we have said or was it simply the price. NO, it was, dare I say slightly mm mumsy. Yes I’ve said it I felt that the Hermes bag has always been the true icon of bags but slightly on the mumsy side. Now this comes along and completely throws me into another dimension.. Do I don’t I… save up for one now. How could any deserving woman not fall in love with this rock chic of a bag. Wear it with jeans or a little black dress your Kelly will be the envy of all. Now how much is it?
