Frugal Snob: Patricia Field Eiffel Tower Bag

user-pic

Can't afford a hand-crafted Judith Leiber crystallized handbag? Check-out Patricia Field for some frugal versions like the Eiffel Tower Bag ($86) pictured above. Sure it's completely tacky and ridiculous, but pair it with a killer, classic dress (think Jil Sander or Ports 1961) and high-high heels (think Brian Atwood), and you'll have a uniquely quirky outfit. This particular bag was inspired by the Eiffel Tower one Sarah Jessica Parker wore in the Sex and the City movie ($450 without crystals; $2,100 with crystals). The designer behind the SJP Eiffel Tower purse, Timmy Woods, is also the designer behind the Telephone Bag she once famously wore on the show.
