If you are a regular Bag Snobber (sorry, is that so lame?) you’ll know I obsessed over a silver quilted clutch from Alexander McQueen last summer but Kelly talked me out of it. I regretted it for months after and when news of his untimely passing came out I immediately thought about that clutch. But I believe in fate and that everything happens for a reason, I was in London last week and walked in to Harrods and guess what was sitting there (last one!)– a quilted skull clutch in the most gorgeous shade of metallic plum with genuine purple pearls!!! Of course I snatched it up, I’m no fool. I’ll take photos of it this weekend and share with you later. Meanwhile, another clutch that I love but have not found the perfect version of is the Knuckle Duster Clutch (9″x3″). You don’t even need a cocktail ring when you use this– the four knuckle rings are plenty for any occasion! It is a bit larger than my quilted clutch which would justify the purchase but I like the patent leather version better than this python one. I love the edgy style but feel the python skin is a bit busy for it. I imposed a “no bag” challenge on myself for 8 weeks, from now until Mother’s Day in mid-May I am not buying another new bag. Think I can last? Only time will tell.
