Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 Ocelot Print Oversized Hobo

I was very excited to be at the Ralph Lauren show, the space was so beautiful I wanted to live there! But I have to be honest, I was not expecting to be wowed by any of the bags - until this giant shearling hobo in ocelot print came walking down the runway, then I was zoned in and mesmerized. Everyone does leopard so the ocelot gives the animal print trend new life. Don't get me wrong, I love leopard but ocelot just seems more exotic because we are so used to seeing the leopard pattern. And for some reason, I find it to be cuter! Here's the thing about animal print, you either have to do it in small doses, or you have go all out and be kick ass bold!! Cool beyond belief. Imagine wearing something serious and throwing this on for some edge. Amazing!! I wanted to go back stage and run off with it because I cannot wait for Fall delivery.

  • okay i carry leather and use animal products, so i'm maybe not one to talk, but i think i draw the line at ocelots. look at them!! http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&tbs=isch:1&q=ocelot&sa=N&start=18&ndsp=18

i want one as a pet, not as a bag.

    • I believe the term was PRINT in the description--not the SKIN of the animal. It is a leather product but not the exotic cat. Unlike Marc who used fur tails (fox? coyote?) on his bags for LV this year. It's (use of fur) the one side of the fashion industry which I find distasteful because it's so unnecessary.

      • thanks for the clarification! i hope you're correct. i couldn't imagine how they would be able to use the skins of an endangered animal.

  • Wow, this bag is gorgeous!
Does anyone know how much it is?

    • I just checked with the RL boutique in Bal Harbour, FL and they have no idea about price point or release time-line yet.
